I'm a Beauty Editor, and This Is the One Product You'll Always Find in My Bag During London Fashion Week
You won't catch me at shows without my Dove Refillable Antiperspirant.

September is here, and fashion month is in full swing. The thing is, whilst London Fashion Week may look glamorous, as a beauty editor, you'll often find me running around backstage, phone and notepad in hand, chasing down makeup artists and hair stylists for their lowdown on their runway creations. Don't get me wrong: I absolutely love the buzz of it all, but it's hard to feel stylish and put-together with sweat patches on my underarms, you know?
Trust me: open up any editor's LFW handbag, and amongst the plasters, paracetamol and emergency snacks, you'll always find deodorant. I used to chuck any old deodorant into my bag, but this year I'll be keeping Dove's sleek, chic Refillable Antiperspirant close to me at all times as I run around the city.
After testing hundreds of antiperspirants over the years (what can I say—I'm a sweaty gal), Dove's refillable one is the tried-and-tested formula that always helps me feel comfortable when I need it most. I first got my hands on the product during the August heatwave, and it worked so well that I knew it would become my LFW essential. Plus, as a fragrance fanatic, I love that I can choose between six scents to match my mood, my outfit or my complementary perfume. If it's not yet clear why I'll never be without it, then keep scrolling to find out more...
The Formula

As mentioned, I love experimenting with scents. However, as someone with relatively sensitive skin, I'd always have to opt for a simple, fragrance-free antiperspirant to avoid irritation. If you didn't know, antiperspirant is slightly different to your everyday deodorant. Whilst deodorant masks odours with fragrance, antiperspirant actually stops sweating and helps you stay dry. However, Dove's gentle formula combines both, providing up to 72 hours of sweat and odour protection whilst being kind to the skin. Dermatologically tested and featuring the brand's signature moisturising ingredients, it means I can keep sweat at bay and smell great at the same time.
However, one thing stands out the most: how creamy this product is. It glides onto the skin like butter (with no greasy residue, might I add). In true Dove style, the brand has perfectly combined an efficacious formula with a sensorial experience that makes the otherwise mundane task of applying deodorant feel instantly elevated.
The Packaging

Being an editor means you're always on the go, so I often look for beauty products I can throw in my bag and pull out whenever I need them. I'll be honest: my deodorant doesn't normally fit these criteria, but thanks to Dove's sleek, compact packaging, I no longer need to worry. I mean, who knew a deodorant could look so stylish? Smaller than my iPhone (10cm long and 3cm wide, to be exact), it's even slim enough to fit in a little shoulder bag for an evening event.
The reusable aluminium case is available in three colourways: a pretty pastel pink, a chic sky blue and a soft lilac. You can even customise your case with stickers, labels and more to make it your own. Did I mention that the case is refillable, too? Simply remove the lid, press both Dove buttons near the bottom of the case to pull the inner section apart, insert the refill and you're ready to take on the day. If you're a little stuck, not to fear, as there's a handy how-to video on the brand's website. It really feels like Dove has created a product that will last for years. In fact, we're pretty much attached at the hip.
The Application

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you how to apply deodorant, but I did want to touch on just how easy this Dove antiperspirant is to use. At the bottom of the case, you'll find a stylish metallic base that you twist to reveal the stick. When you're refilling the packaging, you can twist the base the opposite way until it is fully rewound before inserting the new stick. It's quick and easy (not to mention discreet) to apply on the go. Whether I'm on the tube, in the car or about to take a front-row seat at a show, I can rest easy knowing I can top up my deodorant whenever I need to without being super obvious. Oh, and don't worry if you're wearing an all-black outfit either, as the anti-white-mark technology actually works. Personally, I find this so important, especially during fashion week when I'm often changing outfits multiple times a day.
All in all, I've been so impressed by how long this product keeps me sweat- and odour-free. Whilst I can't say I've tested it for 72 hours myself (I tend to top up my deodorant throughout the day and shower in between), I have noticed that it lasts me an entire workday, a 40-minute gym session and dinner and drinks out with friends. Peony & Pineapple and Violet & Tonka Bean in particular linger all day and make me feel so much more confident. But more on that below...

The Scents
Now, my favourite part: the scents. Friends and family members have asked me what perfume I'm wearing every time I've used this antiperspirant. In fact, my boyfriend even commented on how good I smelled when wearing the Peony & Pineapple scent, and trust me: that never happens. Dove has created six olfactory delights that are giving my favourite perfumes a run for their money, and I think there's something for everyone. I've broken down each scent below to help you pick your new go-to.
How We Tested
As mentioned, I actually first got my hands on this product during London's August heatwave, so I've really been able to put each scent through its paces over the past month. I've worn the deodorant during early morning gym sessions, busy work days and nights out with the girls, testing how well it worked, how easy it was to reapply and how long each scent lasted.
