The Button-Down Style Every Fashion Girl Will Be Wearing This Spring
We can't even begin to count the times a crisp white button-down shirt was the perfect piece to complete an outfit. Worn half-tucked into jeans, as a layering piece under dresses, paired with statement skirts or bold pants, the white button-down is always an effortless go-to to finish off any look. Jessica Alba worked this strategy over the weekend at the launch of Victoria Beckham's collaboration with Target, sporting a piece from the new collection that, come April 9, you can have for $30 (if it doesn't sell out first).
Alba's Victoria Beckham for Target top isn't your typical button-down. The airy iteration is ideal for springtime in more ways in one—it showcases a repeating pattern of bees, and its mid-weight fabrication is light enough for warmer weather but sturdy enough to roll up the sleeves. The playful detailing freshens up the look without overwhelming the shirt with too many graphics or too much color. Alba paired the piece with jeans from Emily Current and Meritt Elliott's line The Great.
