Sadly, I don't have plans to jet off to Italy this year, but a few balmy jaunts to Palm Springs should help me forget about the European vacation void in my summer. And you can bet my outfits will be on point, poppy new accessories and matching knit sets included. Where will I be finding these perfect summer pieces? The current selection at Macy's is as vacation-ready as it gets, and it's really speaking to my summer style. And it turns out I'm not the only one.

Who What Wear associate editor Aniyah Morinia and content creator Natalie Suarez are always my go-to Macy's aficionados, and they're here to share their favorite travel-ready pieces of the season. (You can also click here to see them chat live about the pieces they're packing this summer!) I've already pinned every single one of these outfits to my inspo board, and I think you'll want to see them, too.

Do you have any vacation plans this summer? Where are you headed, or where are you dreaming of going?

I just got back from Mexico, so I'm in full summer mode and feeling inspired and ready to plan a few more sunny escapes. Coming up, I have weekends in Montauk and Los Angeles—the two places by the sea that I love most. In Montauk, my style is really relaxed. I love linen and cotton shirts and classic swimwear in bold colors. It's my favorite little surf town, and I love the ease that Montauk brings to my wardrobe. In Los Angeles, I get to be playful and fashion-forward. I'm all about packing a good summer dress, statement sunglasses, and a kitten heel. Where do I dream of going? Italy. I miss hot Italian summers.

What are your favorite summer trends, and how are you wearing them this season?

My favorite summer trends are the straw top-handle bag and rectangular black sunglasses. What I love about a straw bag is that it works with just about every summer look, whether that's a cotton dress or linen trousers. It's like wearing your own personal picnic. I'm also all about a monochrome look. Right now, I love lemon yellow! I have some incredible linen yellow pants from Macy's that I pair with a matching bikini and a yellow-and-white striped shirt. It's my go-to summer travel look that works well anywhere.

Do you have any vacation plans this summer? Where are you headed, or where are you dreaming of going?

I'll be spending most of the summer in NYC, but I'm planning to spend some time in Florida, too. Whenever I'm in Florida, I feel like I'm on a tropical island even though I haven't left the country. If I were planning to stamp my passport this summer, I would love to take a trip to Italy. It's been all over my social media feeds, and I'm experiencing major FOMO.

Have you mastered the art of packing? Which must-haves do you take with you whenever you travel?

I wish I could say I've mastered the art of packing, but I always manage to overpack even when I make a list. I can't send my suitcase through TSA without packing a matching set or a cute summer dress to sport around town. I love a good statement bag (or two) and always manage to squeeze several purses into my luggage. I love feeling like I can mix and match my items if the look I envisioned doesn't work out IRL.

Have you mastered the art of packing? Which must-haves do you take with you whenever you travel?

I always travel with a button-up shirt or dress. They're so timeless. I like to throw one over a bikini for sun protection on the beach or style it over my shoulders at lunch. I also love a feminine shirtdress. It's a super-easy dinner look that feels breezy and comfortable. I'll also always pack a black kitten heel. That's all I need when I'm on vacation and want to feel a little dressed up.

Are there any viral summer trends you want to test out?

I think I need to try #travelhacks on TikTok. It's incredible how many looks I can actually pack onto a flight with only a carry-on.

What are your favorite summer trends, and how are you wearing them this season?

I'm such a sucker for crochet at the moment. It feels fun and fresh and can be incorporated into any wardrobe regardless of personal style. I'll be wearing crochet sets on vacations and beach days in the very near future. I'll never stop loving pops of color and saturated hues, so I've been making sure to weave them into every look this season. The easiest way to do that is is with my accessories.

Are there any viral summer trends you want to test out?

I've been seeing the "coastal grandma" trend all over my TikTok For You Page. But since that isn't necessarily my everyday style, I would love to put my own spin on it and incorporate pieces that feel like me. This includes midi dresses, pops of color (like yellow), and chic summer accessories.

While she does love writing her fair share of fashion stories, her heart really belongs in the brainstorm room, where she has fun strategizing different ways to create content with our fashion partners so that you engage with the brands you know and love. Her style tends to be more classic (she loves a good black-and-white look with gold accessories), and white pumps are kind of her thing. She's a mom to a 1-year-old baby girl named Sophie, and she fully plans on training her to spot fashion trends by the time she's 10. That's all!
