Glowy makeup looks are my go-to for summer, and I have a feeling they'll be yours too. As you can imagine, I'm always on the lookout for new beauty staples to create a luminous complexion, bronzy, sun-kissed cheeks, and a watercolor pout. Recently, I've seen highlighter milk, dual-ended bronzing sticks, and tinted lippies abound. But my fellow editors and I agree that SHEGLAM's new launches stand out for their prestige-level formulas, affordable price point, and travel-friendly packaging.
"For summer, I need products that layer seamlessly, last throughout the day, and give my skin a fresh, glowy finish," says McKinna Pace, an NYC-based content creator and Who What Wear's marketing manager. "SHEGLAM's new launches are perfect for creating a flushed, glowy summer look that feels effortless for everyday wear but elevated enough for a summer dinner, rooftop night, or golden-hour drinks with friends."
McKinna and editors Chichi Offor and Kaitlyn McLintock were kind enough to share their perfect glowy summer makeup looks using only SHEGLAM products. Whether you're in humid NYC, enjoying a beachy, breezy West Coast summer, or somewhere in between, you can trust that your makeup will look good and last all day. "To start off, I wanted skin that looked healthy and radiant—like I drink enough water and have my life together. I started with the Melt Touch Ultra-Hydrating Primer ($8), which instantly melted into my skin and gave me that fresh, dewy base. Then I applied the Hideaway Full-Coverage Concealer ($6) with a short-bristle brush to buff and diffuse the product into the skin seamlessly before setting everything lightly with the Insta-Ready Face & Under Eye Setting Powder Duo ($9). It locked everything in without taking away the glow, which is key for me in the summer. For my lips, I started with the Marshmallow Puff Blur Lip Pen ($6) in High Key. It adds a beautiful diffused base, and I love how soft and comfortable it feels while giving that blurred, effortless finish. Then I used the Air Plush Lip & Cheek Cream ($6) in Flit & Float on the high points of my cheeks and a little on the tip of my nose to bring warmth and color back into my skin." — McKinna Pace, marketing manager, Who What Wear

"For the eyes, I used the Prismalight Baked Gelee Eyeshadow Duo ($10) in Quartz Rising to create that bronzy, wet-looking shimmer that catches the light so beautifully without feeling overdone. It's one of those products that makes people ask what you're wearing because your makeup looks extra fresh and glowy. Then came the All-in-One Primer & Tubing Volume Mascara ($8), and honestly, the before-and-after difference speaks for itself. It gave my lashes so much lift and definition while still looking soft and fluttery instead of clumpy. To finish everything off, I used the Good Grip Hydrating Prime and Set Spray ($6) to melt all the makeup together and give the skin that fresh glow. This look just feels like summer to me, and it still looks good hours later!" — Pace

"SHEGLAM is always dropping fun and exciting products, so I knew I could count on the brand to launch some affordable, top-tier makeup to refresh my collection before summer. Everything from the blush to the lip blur pen has such a beautiful range of colors perfect for the smooth, satiny makeup look I created. The key to a solid makeup application is hydration, and the Melt Touch Ultra-Hydrating Primer ($8) and the Good Grip Hydrating Prime and Set Spray ($7) took care of that. Next, I applied the Hideaway Full-Coverage Concealer ($6) to add brightness and even out some dark circles under my eyes. Next, I reached for the Air Plush Lip & Cheek Cream ($6) in the shade Light Work. I immediately was obsessed. I love that it's so buildable; you can add layers and layers on top of each other without it looking cakey or overwhelming." — Chichi Offor, shopping editor, Who What Wear

"After eye shadow and mascara comes my favorite step: lips. I've always been a big fan of all types of lippies. I don't like to play favorites with my products, but the Marshmallow Puff Blur Lip Pen ($6) in the shade High Key has earned a top spot in my collection. It went on smoothly without any stickiness. The satin finish was excellent and is something that was missing from my makeup bag." — Offor

"Blurred, watercolor makeup is such a big trend in the beauty space, but it's deceptively difficult to achieve. Thankfully, these products made it incredibly easy for me to create a soft, velvety look with a flawless base, blooming color on my cheeks, and a powdery, matte lip. I started with the Hideaway Full-Coverage Concealer ($6), applying it in precise areas to keep my skin looking fresh and flawless. The full-coverage formula self-set on my skin, so I didn't need to layer it or apply any setting powder. It's the perfect one-and-done product. Every SHEGLAM product I've tried is featherlight and allows my skin to breathe. No cakey, powdery makeup here!" — Kaitlyn McLintock, beauty editor, Who What Wear

"Next, I used the Air Plush Lip & Cheek Cream ($6) in On Air for natural-looking color on my cheeks—it blended out so easily that I just used my fingers, rather than a brush or sponge. After that, I applied the Marshmallow Puff Blur Lip Pen ($6) in Soft Bounce for a velvety matte lip. The formula is featherlight and doesn't dry out my lips like other products I've tried. This product tied the whole look together and achieved that blurred, watercolor finish. I'm obsessed with the velvety finish, not to mention the comfortable feel. Last but not least, I applied a swipe of the All-in-One Primer & Tubing Volume Mascara ($8) for full, fluttery lashes. This look was so easy and took me less than five minutes, and I loved the result." — McLintock
