These Fresh Pedicure Colours Are Expert-Approved for Autumn

I don't know about you, but nothing makes me feel more put-together than a good pedicure. I used to only prioritise this beauty treatment in the summer months when I knew that my feet would be on show in sandals and flip-flops, but I've come to realise that pedicures make me feel great all year round.

That being said, I often find myself stuck on which colours to go for in the autumn months. I don't tend to switch up my pedicure shades as much as I do with my manicures, so I always like to opt for something that I know will be in style for weeks to come, especially as a professional salon pedicure always lasts me a good while.

With this in mind, I decided to reach out to a nail expert to find out what colours she thinks will be everywhere this autumn, to give me (and you) some inspiration before my next salon appointment.

I've also taken it upon myself to do a little bit of research on social media to see which nail polish shades everyone is opting for as we transition into the new season. So, if you've been feeling a little stuck just like me, keep on scrolling for all of the inspiration you need. I've rounded up everything from classic nail colours to more fun, trending hues, so there's something for everyone.

Don't forget to check out my top nail polish recommendations too—you can still have on-trend toes even if you're treating yourself to a pedi from the comfort of your own home.

1. Creamy Nude

"Whilst you’re whipping out the autumn knits to match the changing leaves, this year your nails should be the perfect match too," says Thea Green, founder of Nails Inc. "Creamier nudes are about to be everywhere, and it's a trend for all skin tones. Our Caught In The Nude collection was made for this season."

Everyone on my Instagram feed has been opting for khaki green manicures recently, so I have no doubt that this trend will become a popular pedicure colour too. This earthy green shade looks so chic, and is the perfect way to add a subtle streak of colour to your look.

"Now we’re entering another Taylor Swift era, there’s a lavender haze hanging over us," says Green. "We’re seeing every shade from lilac to plum, and we’re not mad about it." This pastel-purple hue might not be an obvious choice for autumn, but why not have fun with your nail colours all year round?

We recently wrote about the explosion of orange nails all over our Instagram feeds, and I happen to think that the warm, uplifting shade is the pop of colour we need to get us through the colder months. If an orange pedi doesn't put a smile on your face, then I don't know what will.

For those who prefer something a little more monochrome, you simply can't go wrong with a classic black pedi. It's easy, it's sophisticated and it will go with every single item in your wardrobe. Need I say more?
