You Have to See Solange Knowles's Custom Crystal Dress

Solange Knowles made her showstopping debut on SNL last night, and in addition to her knockout performance, her sartorial selection for taking the stage has had everyone talking since. Singing "Cranes in the Sky," a single from her highly acclaimed new studio album, A Seat at the Table, Knowles stunned in a custom designed crystal dress by Erickson Beamon. The striking piece was made in collaboration with Swarovski at the request of stylists Jason Rembert and Eric McNeal, and its netted constructed revealed a white lingerie set by La Perla. The singer topped the look with a spindly halo-shaped headpiece reminiscent of a dreamcatcher.

A week ago, Knowles posted a mood board to her Instagram that featured The Supremes, Diana Ross, Cher, Nina Simone, and big sister Beyoncé. The crystal-encrusted detailing and jeweled netting spotlighted in the collage clearly manifested themselves in Knowles's onstage ensemble.
