Kids from the '90s know a thing or two about platform sneakers. The style, pioneered by the Spice Girls, Kate Moss, and more, was at the time a fashion-forward take on sportswear. Now, lifted styles are making a comeback, with trend setters like Bella Hadid embracing the look in an ironically cool way. Now, fast-fashion favorite Zara is proving the trend is here in a major way for fall.

All it takes is one throwback photo of platform sneakers and zip-off pants to give us a bit of pause. But if you trust in Zara, you may just be convinced to shake off your fears and give the '90s trend a try.
