>There was, unsurprisingly, a ton of anticipation leading up to the Yeezy Season 5 show. And with good reason. This past fall, there was a slew of models, editors, and industry vets who hung out for hours on Roosevelt Island waiting for the artist. But this season, it seems like the fanfare of Kanye West’s show was turned down in exchange for a more traditional fashion week presentation. Here’s what we know so far.
>First things first, according to Instagram, there was not a single Kardashian, Jenner, or Hadid spotted on the runway (Kendall and the Hadid sisters were part of the Anna Sui show around the same time). As for the most buzzed-about moments, they came from the relatively unknown talent. Additionally, the location was New York’s Pier 59—a much more common and accessible location—and instead of human statues across a lawn, West chose installations for a multimedia effect.

Kylie Jenner was present and hung out backstage with Kim and Paper magazine’s Mickey Boardman.
Vogue reported that West opted out of a final bow, and from this video, it seems like the lights simply went down after the final walk.
