4 Spring Trends Yasmin Sewell Thinks You Should Try Immediately

For fashion obsessives, Yasmin Sewell needs no introduction. The Australian-born creative has an impressive resume, holding past positions at Style.com and Browns after launching her own boutique in London in the '90s. Now, she also holds the title of vice president of style and creative at Farfetch, and co-founder of Être Cécile.

Sewell is based overseas but regularly visits home soil for special projects. We stole a few minutes of time with one of our favourite style stars to discover her trend picks of the season.

Prints and Floral

"Prints are an undying trend but more so than ever thanks to the Demna effect. Wear clashing prints all at the same time. You might think it's wrong but it's so right. Just look at Gucci."

Oversize

"Oversize is the trend I'm most into right now. Try it in a blazer, a coat, a shirt, a jean, a sleeve. Suddenly narrow doesn't feel right anymore. Keep in mind a level of balance—embrace it for sure, but maybe not top-to-toe or you'll risk drowning in your outfit."

Pink

"We're living in the time of pink—the world can't stop taking about millennial pink and it has been the most obviously favoured colour among designers over the past few seasons. Every woman looks good in it. Contrast it with prints and florals and best of all, wear it with red."

Robe Dressing

"Pyjama dressing has been with us for several seasons, now it's also about the robe. One of the more luxurious trends, there's something quite chic about being able to wear a silk robe out of the house. Wear it like a jacket over jeans and long dresses."
