This 1971 Wedding Outfit Will Never Go Out of Style

In 1971, Bianca Jagger pulled the ultimate power move and wore a white suit for her wedding to Mick Jagger, foregoing a more traditional dress. Never one to follow the rules, the icon had a way of injecting her own personal style into every outfit, and her wedding look was no exception. She wore a tailored jacket without a top underneath, paired with an ankle-grazing skirt and heels. The look was then topped off with a wide-brimmed hat and veil.

The iconic look was fresh and unique at the time but continues to inspire style setters today. Just look to Emily Ratajkowski, who recently got married in a mustard yellow Zara suit styled with a similar hat and veil. If you too are willing to eschew tradition, you may want to similarly opt for a white suit for your wedding day. Shop our favorite styles here.
