As a total minimalist, this writer knows how to appreciate a good monochromatic outfit. However, any real fashion girl knows that wearing all one color doesn't have to be boring. Usually it's all about the accessories or the silhouette. In the case of our latest monochrome inspiration, however, it's about the color.
Chrissy Teigen, one of our favorite style stars, just stepped out in a fire-engine red ensemble and made it look so casually gorgeous. Her wool knit flares were from Victoria, Victoria Beckham, of course, as we know she and other celebs are such a fan of the line. While she paired the retro pant silhouette with a sultry plunging neckline, it was balanced out by opting for a long-sleeved shirt. What we're saying is Teigen nailed all three departments when it comes to making monochrome exciting: The intriguing silhouette combined with a bold color but pared-back accessories makes for one amazing outfit.
