What to Wear for Any Australia Day Adventure

Australia Day is hands-down one of the best days of the year. After returning to work from the Christmas break, there are only a few weeks of work to suffer through before being gifted another day out of the office.

No matter what's on the agenda for you this Australia Day, we're willing to bet all our lamingtons that it involves Triple J's Hottest 100, a few Aperol Spritzes, and a swimsuit to wear at some point throughout the day (as long as the rain stays away), plus these essentials.

We've rounded up four different outfit ideas for our favourite Australia Day activities. Keep scrolling to shop the look that works best with your plans, and let us know how you'll be spending the day in the comments below.

For a relaxed BBQ, you want to feel comfortable but still fashionable. An all-neutral look is an easy way to do this, and you can dress it up with jewellery if you head out after lunch.

Is there anything better than a day on the beach when it also involves food and drinks? The only thing that can ruin it is spilling some tomato sauce down your dress. Our plan? Wear all black. It's spill proof and will look dressed up as day turns to night.

Take this opportunity to wear your coolest new jeans, and one of 2017's biggest trends—the slogan tee. Add a pair of mules and oversized sunnies, and you're good to go.

If you're really lucky and you're spending Australia Day on a boat, you'll need a beautiful dress to go with. Dress down this slinky silk number with flats and a sling bag.
