Summer Days

There is something so appealing about the easygoing nature of summer. Between the relaxing vacations, weekend trips out of town, and afternoons spent perusing our favorite farmers' markets, there's much to love. And sure, we're fans of all of the above, but for us, the most enticing part of summer is the carefree clothing options. Our favorite wardrobe picks include easy-breezy daytime dresses (per Agyness Deyn and Helena Christensen), adorable mini rompers (à la Alessandra Ambrosio and Amanda Seyfried), and super short cutoffs (like Alexa Chung), all of which have that effortless, get-up-and-go spirit we desire during the warmer months. If you're looking for more suggestions on how to incorporate these pieces into your wardrobe, take cues from today's stellar What They Wear sextet because one thing is for sure: they are pros when it comes to cooling off in style.

&vintageAgyness Deyn
We here at the Who What Wear headquarters believe in looking stylish for every occasion, and yes, that even includes walking the dog! Agyness Deyn demonstrated precisely how this is accomplished when she took her little pup out for a sunny stroll in Brooklyn early last month. The British model turned to AllSaints for her afternoon attire, which included the brand's Raven Dress ($170) and Joanie Flats ($140) in Graphite. The dress has an asymmetric cut, which gives it a lightweight feeling and great movement, so it's perfect for activity-related outings. When you're headed to the dog park or running errands during the summer's hot months, try to recreate Deyn's unfussy look with Staring at Stars' Embellished T-Back Shift Dress ($68) and Dani Black's Wali Sandals ($79), both of which are simple and super cute.

Alessandra Ambrosio
When temperatures reach unbearable heights, your best bet is to select an outfit that is comfy and low maintenance. Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio had the right idea when she selected Seneca Rising's Holland Romper ($143) and Colin Stuart for Victoria's Secret Neon Piped Sandals for a day of shopping in the West Village back in July. We suggest you try a one-piece with a similar worn-in feel like Bluenotes' Chambray Romper ($10), and some barely-there thongs like Edge of Urge's Callie Crochet Gladiator Sandals ($39). Of course there is no need to add extra layers during the scorching heat, just finish off your look with simple accents like Ambrosio's cool blue sunnies and Loewe's Amazona Bag ($9350) in Ostrich. Want the same look without the hefty price tag? American Eagle's Sunset Sunglasses ($16) and Dooney and Bourke's Small Handle Tote ($225) will surely fit the bill.

Helena Christensen
In early June, Helena Christensen was spotted in Manhattan kicking off the beginning of summer in the lovely Lewis Cecilia Wrap Dress ($238). There is something so sweet and feminine about a printed frock that makes it an absolute must during the warmer months. Luckily, there are plenty of oh-so adorable options out there. Just check out Pins and Needles' Knit Ditsy Babydoll Dress ($48) or Modcloth's That Which We Call A Dress ($48) for your next afternoon soiree. We suggest pairing your frock with a comfy pair of sandals like Havaiana's Slim Flip Flops ($24) in Gray Silver and Straw Studios' Sydney Tote ($46) to achieve Christensen's summery spirit.

Jessica Hart
We have seen some seriously cute outfits from model Jessica Hart lately; however, it was this understated ensemble that really caught our attention. Two months ago, the Australian beauty strolled through SoHo wearing a fitted floral dress from H&M (she was gifted this dress on a shoot for the brand, but it hasn't hit stores yet) and a sold-out Topshop fringe bag on her arm, but it was her boyish accents
