Maybe it's just us, but one of the aspects of fall fashion that we get most excited about is the footwear: boots of all sorts, loafers, and more. But in a sartorial lanscape overflowing with various shoe styles, it can be challenging to determine exactly which ones are worth investing in.
So, we enlisted Banana Republic's creative advisor (and our resident stylist) Marissa Webb to help point us (and you!) in the right direction.
"Of course this depends on your lifestyle, but I do have a few suggestions that I personally will be adding to my own collection this season," Webb told us." Keep scrolling to see Webb's picks for the only shoes you need to add to your closet this fall!
In the fall, it's cold and often slippery out, so I look for great flats that enhance my outfit but also keep me close to the ground. I would consider cool penny loafers or creepers!
I'm looking forward to wearing more rugged boots with a nice stacked wood heel.
Ssomething with a bit of shine will add contrast to your fall neutrals. Think of how different textures enhance each other; I love a bedazzled shoe to pair with some of my more casual fall outfits.

A stovepipe boot that hits just under the knee is a great way to embrace the 70s trend that's so popular this fall.
