Of course, we’d love to get the scoop firsthand, but we know that celebrity brides-to-be tend to keep their plans to themselves. Hence, we’ve drawn upon our knowledge of their individual tastes to offer up suggestions on things like gown choice, wedding locale, and honeymoon destination. Read on to see our recommendations.
The Bride-to-Be: New York socialite-turned-international fashionplate, Olivia Palermo.
The Groom-to-Be: German model/ Disney prince lookalike, Johannes Huebl.
The Romance: The couple, both 27, have been dating since 2008, when they met through friends. Both extremely genetically blessed, they’ve even teamed up in front of the camera for ad campaigns for Spanish label, Mango.
As much as Palermo is touted as a trendsetter, we suspect she’s a traditionalist at heart. We’d love to see her in something elegant and voluminous like this gorgeous Marchesa confection from the label’s Spring 14 collection.
Huebl hails from Hanover, Germany, and a hometown wedding at nearby Marienburg Castle would be utterly grand yet sentimental.
Given Palermo’s blue-blood roots, she’d be remiss not to include the bastion of the WASPiness, Scully & Scully, in her registry.
The duo are both regulars on the jet-set circuit, so their honeymoon will have to kick it up another notch. We’re thinking a private yacht around the Greek islands should do the trick.
The Bride-to-Be: Once Upon a Time actress, Jamie Chung.
The Groom-to-Be: Actor Bryan Greenberg, known for his starring role as Ben Epstein in the HBO series How to Make It in America.
The Romance: The couple, who began dating in 2012, were first spotted together at Coachella. As things grew serious, Chung opened up more about about the relationship, revealing to Elle this September that Greenberg was helping her train for a half-marathon. “The couple who runs together, stays together!' she joked.
Since the couple got engaged in Turks and Caicos, the Caribbean islands hold a special place in their heart. We wouldn’t be surprised if they return for the big event, perhaps decamping to the luxurious Parrot Cay resort.
Both Chung and Greenberg have been active in various nonprofits and fundraising drives so it would be fitting for their registry to include a philanthropic component. The I Do Foundation enables couples to create a registry for donations to the charity of their choice.
Chung was on the winning team of the 2005 Real World/Road Rules Challenge so we know she has a taste for adventure. We think an African safari would be the perfect fit for this fun-loving couple.
The-Bride-to-Be: American Horror Story actress, Emma Roberts.
The Groom-to-Be: American Horror Story actor, Evan Peters.
The Romance: The co-stars began dating in spring 2012 but the love affair was slow burn to say the least. “We first met at a dinner party, and then we worked together on a movie [Adult World], which we did not date during. We didn’t get along, actually — he wouldn’t speak to me,” Roberts told the press.
The 22-year-old actress shouldn’t abandon her youthful and fun sense of style just because she’s doing something serious like getting married. Maybe it’s the flirty peplum or the high hemline but we think this Reem Acra dress is the one Roberts should most definitely say “yes” to.
Roberts needs a venue befitting of her Hollywood royalty status (aunt is Julia Roberts, dad is Eric Roberts) yet not too stodgy or old-fashioned. The obvious choice? The Chateau Marmont.
Chances are the young couple doesn’t have the plateware to host a dinner party for eight or the proper utensils to make a beef wellington. Williams Sonoma to the rescue!
Given their busy shooting schedules, the newlyweds won’t have time to jet off to some far-flung locale. Of course, the genius of exclusive Utah resort, Amangiri, is that, though just a short flight from Los Angeles, it feels like another planet.
