It might seem unrealistic to think someone can fit 10 outfits into 3 days, yet somehow I always manage to do it. For me, traveling is the perfect opportunity to add new pieces to my wardrobe and show off all of the goods that I've ordered recently. I'm sure you can guess from this description of my travel mindset that I tend to bring an oversize checked bag on my getaways. In this case, the suitcase was filled with all of the 2022 trends that I'm most excited to wear. Think crochet, maxi hemlines, cutout bikinis, and so much more.

My first time in Tulum was a breathtaking experience. Everywhere we went was absolutely stunning from our stay at Kimpton Aluna Hotel to dinners at Rosa Negra, which I require everyone I know to eat at when they visit. Whether your trip is headed to Tulum or another warm-weather destination, you're sure to find outfits that will inspire your packing list below.

The outfit I am most excited to share with you is my boat-day look. I usually am not a black bikini person, but now that I know the power that it holds, I'll be wearing this one on repeat. Right now, fashion girls are wearing their crochet pants as low-rise and letting the bikini strings show, nodding to the G-string trend we saw all over the runways the past few seasons. I'm right with them.

I fit right into the Tulum "jungle" during our visit to SFER IK, an architectural display that imitates the wilderness and is a must-see if you plan to make your way to Tulum any time soon. Maxi hemlines have fully won me over so you better believe this dress is going to be repeated many times this summer.

Every vacation in 2022 requires a maxi crochet dress. I loved baring some skin in this one and it got me way more compliments than I expected. You're going to look very getaway-esque when you try it for yourself.

Bikini season is in full swing, and my mindset is the brighter the better. Bold and colorful prints have been predicted to be a big trend this year and I am so on board. This swimsuit was so flattering on the bust that it's a must-share.

Neon still has a time and a place, and it's really meant for a night out when on vacation. My go-to destination for party dresses has always been Retrofete and this yellow number has to be my favorite piece I've ever worn from them.

I can't leave you without bringing up another crochet number. This dress is even better in person—I can't keep my obsession with it to myself. It's the perfect neutral colorway and the halter top is so right now.

When it comes to fashion, I love to make a statement, so wearing a sheer gown just made so much sense for me. The tulle and embellishments were exactly what I had in mind when thinking of the dress of my dreams. I recommend having a night on your next trip where you dress up to the max just for fun.

Sierra Mayhew was always destined to work in fashion, but she didn't know it at first. Growing up with no choice but to wear a rotation of school uniforms and activewear, her love for fashion really blossomed when she moved away for college and was able to finally define her very own personal style. Shortly thereafter, she interned at Elle magazine and instantly knew that editorial was for her. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, she worked for ShopBazaar, contributing regularly to Bazaar.com, and finally made her way to Who What Wear, where she is an associate editor. When she’s not working, you can catch her always trying to catch a flight, rollerblading through New York City traffic, or exploring the latest luxury vintage boutique.
