On the first Monday in May, the upper echelons of the fashion industry gather on the Upper East Side for the most opulent display of style, taste and creative excellence; more commonly known as the Met Gala.

For the uninitiated, the annual charity ball has been hosted for three-quarters of a century and raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Style Notes: With the theme as expansive and loaded with historical connotations as “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” it was only fitting that Rihanna take not only the most subversive route, but also the most straightforward.

Quite literally taking the fashion set to church, the multi-hyphenate musician and makeup mogul opted for a custom silver Maison Margiela cape-and-dress concoction designed by John Galliano. The pièce de résistance, however, was her homage to papal regalia in the form of her Stephen Jones headpiece. Hers is one conclave we’d gladly join.

2. Princess Diana

Style Notes: Six months after Princess Diana enshrined her fashion legacy by turning up to the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party wearing the inimitable revenge dress designed by Christina Stambolian, the late Lady Spencer made a discreet public outing to deliver another iconic ensemble for the ages.

Blending in with the Manhattan evening, she arrived at the soiree in an understated midnight blue slip dress designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior. Style Notes: without an appearance from the perennially mysterious Olsen Twins. Mary Kate and Ashley have been fixtures at the soirée since they were 18 years old, making the event a true home-away-from-home for the secretive duo. However, it was at the 2017 iteration, which was themed “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons”, where The Row designers made their biggest impact.

Returning to their bohemian roots, the duo arrived in truly antique lace slip dresses that were reportedly over a century old. Dripping in pendant necklaces, fur-trimmed jackets and chunky accessories, the looks also honoured the Japanese designer’s autumn/winter 2005 collection “Broken Brides”, which was a subtle full-circle moment, given it also acknowledged the year they first started attending.

4. Zendaya

Style Notes: You can rest assured that whenever Zendaya has confirmed her RSVP, a sartorial feast is guaranteed. As one of the pioneers of method dressing, the 29-year-old takes her job as a guest incredibly seriously. However, when it came to her co-chairing the event in 2024, she exceeded all expectations.

Not only did she both open and close the red carpet with two separate but incredibly visionary looks, she delivered the most hauntingly beautiful interpretation of the theme “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”. With the dress code being "The Garden of Time," which was inspired by J.G. Ballard's 1962 short story exploring themes of beauty, decay, and the fleeting nature of time, she wore a custom gown by John Galliano for Maison Margiela that embodied the ephemeral and elegant source material. 5. Kate Moss

Style Notes: Another iconic co-chair came in the form of Kate Moss. Attending the 2009 iteration, which adhered to the theme “The Model as Muse”, she proved the power that supermodels wield as the ultimate shapeshifter. A true incarnation of Marc Jacobs' vision for the evening, she ditched her Camden-core leather jackets, skinny jeans and knee-high boots for a gold lame mini dress and matching Elizabeth Taylor-inspired turban.

6. Zoë Kravtiz

Style Notes: One of the symbols for Anthony Vaccarello’s sensually sophisticated visions for Saint Laurent, Zoë Kravitz was truly firing on all cylinders when she arrived at the 2021 Met Gala. Dressing to the theme “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”, the actor-turned-director’s phenomenally risqué wore what could only be described as a netted dress made from dazzling crystals that made the shape of itty-bitty YSL monograms. Because who needs a slip dress when you’re dripping in diamantes?

7. Lady Gaga

Style Notes: Why have one look when you can have four? That was the thesis question that Lady Gaga designed her 2019 Met Gala ensemble around, landing on a captivating Brandon Maxwell look that was part performance art, part moving installation and completely camp.

Beginning with a magenta overcoat that featured an elongated train and accompanied by five dancers, she later slipped into a gown before changing into a Madonna-esque column dress, before closing out her epic entrance in a sequin-encrusted black bralette, panties, fishnet tights and platform booties.

8. Lily-Rose Depp

Style Notes: As someone who was appointed as one of Karl Lagerfeld’s “choupettes” as a teenager, it should come as no surprise that Lily-Rose Depp has almost unlimited access to Chanel’s archives for her public appearances.

At the 2019 Met Gala, The Idol star embraced the French maison’s most vampy silhouettes in a little black dress adorned with gold chains and gilded camellias. The piece was also first worn by Christy Turlington on the luxuriate’s spring/summer 1992 runway and later featured on Penelope Cruz in Pedro Almodóvar’s 2009 romantic thriller Broken Embraces.

9. Naomi Campbell

Style Notes: From walking the runway alongside her fellow “supers” to George Michael’s “Freedom” for Versace’s autumn/winter 1991 show to wearing the Italian designer’s iconic chainmail butterfly dress to an event alongside Kate Moss in 1999, Naomi Campbell has had no shortage of iconic Versace moments in her lifetime. Of course, the most sentimental moment came when she attended the 1995 Met Gala—the first hosted by Anna Wintour—alongside the brand’s founder, Gianni.

Style Notes: It’s quite a feat to make the Met Gala best dressed list on your first time attending. But that’s exactly what South African pop sensation Tyla did for the 2024 event. In the spirit of surrealism and trompe l'oeil, the singer arrived in a Balmain dress that evoked the sands of time.

The gown was a custom fit to her figure and ended up being so tight that she needed to be carried up the steps by a security guard. Made from a plaster moulding that combined mica and mirror powder, the look was a true standout and firmly established her place in fashion’s elite circles.

11. Kendall Jenner

Style Notes: Though she might be known for her signature stealth wealth way of dressing, Kendall Jenner delivered her most high-octane look when attending the 2019 Met Gala in custom Versace. Wearing Marty Supreme orange and a feathered gown that left a trail of plumage, the look has become incredibly iconic over the years for the way the showgirl-esque silhouette completely transformed the model turned tequila maven. Later that year, for her Halloween-themed birthday party, the waiters were dressed up in this exact costume, proving just how camp the look actually was.

12. Kim Kardashian

Style Notes: Of course, it wouldn’t be a guide to the most iconic Met Gala dresses if it didn’t include this Kim Kardashian look on the list. Love it or hate it, this infamous Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy design helped segue the reality star and aspiring lawyer into a new stratosphere of fame.

Whilst many were vicious in their lamenting over her attendance at the event in the first place, the majority were brutal in tearing down the dress itself. Style Notes: Bearing resemblance to both an Oscar statuette and Star Wars character C3PO, Anne Hathaway’s Ralph Lauren dress from the 2015 Met Gala just proves how ahead of the fashion curve she is. This is a fact we might all recognise now, but it wasn’t the case over a decade ago. But as her fictional grandmother in The Princess Diaries, played by the incredibly Dame Julie Andrews, said, a queen is never late, everyone else is simply early.

What Is The Theme of the 2026 Met Gala?

As announced by VOGUE, the theme of the 2026 Met Gala is "Costume Art". As always, the theme is derived from the Costume Institute's spring exhibition. According to the centre's head curator, Andrew Bolton, the theme addresses “the centrality of the dressed body in the museum’s vast collection".

The museum reports that the exhibition will "pair garments with artworks to reveal the inherent relationship between clothing and the body". It continues, "from the formal to the conceptual, the aesthetic to the political, the individual to the universal, the illustrative to the symbolic, and the playful to the profound, these pairings are organised into a series of thematic body types that reflect their pervasiveness and endurance through time and cultures."

The exhibition is sponsored by tech billionaire Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sanchez Bezos, Saint Laurent and Condé Nast.

What is the Dress Code for the 2026 Met Gala?

Accompanying the theme, guests are invited to adhere to a compulsory dress code that further elucidates the crux of the exhibition. Keeping things incredibly simple for the 2026 event, the dress code is "Fashion is Art". This can be translated however the guest sees fit and can run the gamut from gowns that literally transpose famous works onto fabric to dresses that embrace the Métiers d'Art (or arts and crafts) that underscores any ensemble.

Like clockwork, the 2026 Met Gala is set for Monday, May 4, 2026. As the event is held in New York City, those of us here in the United Kingdom should expect to see looks from the red carpet begin to trickle in during the early hours of Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Gird your loins!

Euphoria season 3 is finally here. Returning on April 12, the latest season (and rumoured last) is set five years into the future, where our favourite protagonists have traded school hallways for lives far more high-stakes. Maddy and Lexi have left the dusty streets of Southern California behind in pursuit of Hollywood's glitz and glamour. Nate and Cassie are somehow married? (I know, I was shocked too). He appears to be grappling with a newfound Matthieu Blazy-era Bottega Veneta addiction, whilst Cassie is carving a name for herself as an OnlyFans creator. If that doesn't seem chaotic enough, Trisha Paytas is somehow in the mix.

If you can’t tell, I’m a massive fan; tuning in for the dark and messy storylines which toe the line between eerily relatable and completely outrageous has become one of my favourite pastimes. Over the years, so many moments have become TikTok-trending sounds, leaving us wondering, in the words of Maddy, "Is this play about us?" But for me, as fashion editor, it's the outfits that have always piqued my attention the most.

What I’ve always adored about the looks in Euphoria is just how many aesthetics coexist within one friendship group (much like in reality), although, unlike most of our friends and us, they tend to have a luxury, designer-led twist. Take Alexia Demie’s Maddy Perez; she's your textbook fashion girl. Successfully making everything work, from Balenciaga to Amina Muaddi, she’s always been an It girl, serving looks we adore. Then we have the preppy polish of Maude Apatow’s Lexi Howard; naturally, Miu Miu is her best friend. Even Zendaya’s Rue has worn her fair share of (vintage) designer pieces, including a Jean Paul Gaultier vest and vintage Roberto Cavalli pants.

The first two seasons are well documented in costume designer Heidi Bivens's book with A24, Euphoria Fashion, in which she breaks down the looks and aesthetics that are so central to the show's characterisation, but this season, we're starting to feel rumblings of something new. From Rue's desert whites to Maddie's opulent fur jacket, there's a refreshed energy to the show's fashion for the third season. So, because I think I'm pretty well-qualified to do so, I present to you the best Euphoria outfits of all time, and the pieces to shop to get the looks.

Style Notes: Looking like a country music star in all the best ways, this Cassie look had to make the list. This time of the year is my favourite time to spot hair trends. Over the past couple of months, we've had the awards season, fashion month and a flurry of premieres and red carpet moments, all of which are the perfect fodder for us beauty editors to spot the next big beauty trends. I first spotted it on Gracie Abrams' BAFTA hair look. It's not quite a pixie cut, and not quite a bob haircut. The elfin bob marries the two together, featuring the impish silhouette of a pixie cut with the longer length of a cropped bob haircut that still allows you to wear it tucked behind the ears. It's easily one of the chicest short haircuts I've seen this year, with celebrities such as Zendaya and Iris Law wearing this elegant yet cool-girl cut. Tinkerbell, eat your heart out.

Iris Law has long worn her hair in an elfin style, and celebrity hairstylist Luke Hersheson recently cut it for the Fendi show. “I cut Iris' hair into a short elfin cut—even though it’s short, there are so many ways to style and wear this cut—it’s super versatile," says Hersheson. "I smothered her hair in Almost Everything Cream (£20) and drew a low, deep parting while creating a modern kiss curl on her forehead, inspired by Josephine Baker of the '20s—we made it very subtle so it’s more of a nod to the era but still felt modern and fresh," he says.

How to Style It

Now, as I write this, I’m wearing a white T-shirt, so I’m certainly not suggesting the classic staple doesn’t have its place—it absolutely does. But every so often, a basic outfit calls for a slightly more elevated foundation to really make it sing. Making my case, Zendaya was spotted out this week styling a sleek blue shirt with relaxed jeans and polished loafers, bringing to life a three-piece formula I can already picture dominating spring wardrobes.

The crisp shirt and structured loafers lend a sense of polish, whilst the easy denim keeps things grounded and wearable. Where a T-shirt might double down on the laid-back feel of the jeans, the blue shirt elevates it instead. Echoing the sophistication of the loafers, the pairing creates a casual look that feels relaxed but still pulled together.

I have to be honest, I’m more of a flat shoe girl than anything else, but on the odd chance that I do throw on a heel, I can guarantee you it will be a black one. If you're anything like me, you watched the Oscars red carpet like a hawk, waiting for Zendaya to arrive, only to be sorely disappointed that she was a no-show. Over three hours into the ceremony, however, Zendaya surprised everyone and strolled onto the stage to present Paul Thomas Anderson with the top directing award.

Accompanied by Robert Pattinson, her costar in The Drama, Zendaya wore a striking brown one-shouldered custom Louis Vuitton dress. It was a more low-key look than we're used to seeing on the fashion star, but it made total sense considering she was there as a presenter, not a nominee. Elegant and classic, the draped dress immediately shot to the top of my best dressed list. (Elle Fanning and Kylie Jenner also made my personal best-of roundup.) Oh, and did you notice Zendaya's diamond Rolex watch?

Zendaya finished her look with Prada Beauty makeup. “To complement Zendaya’s earth toned dress, I played up her features and complexion using smoldering browns and warm caramels,” her makeup artist Ernesto Casillas said in a statement.

Time to blast Lily Allen’s “West End Girl” as every stylish Londoner has descended in South Kensington this evening for the annual Fashion Awards. Hosted at the palatial Royal Albert Hall, the yearly festivity celebrates the best and brightest in British style, including nascent names like talent incubator and collective Fashion East and notable stalwarts like Simone Rocha and Sarah Burton.

And whilst the red carpet is always an opportunity to showcase the craftsmanship and creative imaginations of the industry’s finest, it’s also a moment to prove that simplicity and accessibility will always reap dividends, at least that is what it seems at the 2025 edition.

Indeed, Industry star Marisa Abela arrived on the pink carpet this evening wearing quite a pared-back ensemble compared to her fellow attendees in the form of a crisp white shirt, drop-diamond choker, textured fur trousers and cream pumps. Her devotion to wearing winter whites—especially as the actress is a newlywed after all—amid the freezing temperatures is commendable in its own right, but it was really her eschewing the lavish looks that these events often demand that really piqued my interest

In fact, her white shirt could easily be something her on-screen character, Yasmin Kara-Hanani, wears to the Pierpoint offices, showcasing that the best red carpet looks are usually the most effortless.

This is a detail levelled time and time again in Hollywood, with Abela joining an array of film starlets and fashion it-girls who’ve opted for this wardrobe staple for high-profile moments.

At the 2022 Academy Awards, Zendaya referenced a look by Sharon Stone to the 1998 Oscars by replicating the star’s satin lavender Vera Wang skirt with her own Valentino iteration. (Talk about a basic instinct.)

A few years earlier, in 1995, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy wore a tuxedo-style shirt and mermaid cut black pencil skirt by Yohji Yamamoto to a gala held at the Whitney Museum of American Art, starting this canon of stylish and aspirational ensembles.

Each of these looks are certainly covetable in its own right, but what’s most impressive is the fact that all it takes to emulate them is a piece you can easily pick up at the likes of M&S, Zara or H&M.

It’s true, one walk down the King's Road or scroll through these brands’ online stores, and you’ll be confronted with many well-made and Savile Row-inspired shirts that will cost you less than the average dinner out in London. If there was one phrase to sum up the past year, it would be the title of Charli XCX and Caroline Polacheck’s 2024 single, “Everything Is Romantic”. The song, which was featured in the teaser trailer for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, croons about falling in love again and again and has since gone viral on social media after its initial release on the British singer’s magnum opus album, Brat.

Love, clearly, is in the air, and given this collective mood coincides with Who What Wear UK’s 10th anniversary celebration, there’s never been a better time to look back on the stylish pairings that best embrace this. Indeed, there have been countless best-dressed celebrity couples vying for the crown throughout the course of our small but mighty history. Here on home soil, we have duos like Sienna Miller and Oli Green, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham and Alexa Chung and Tom Sturridge, all of whom make London’s vibrant fashion scene all the more exciting when they step out.

Across the pond, there are established relationships like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce and Lily-Rose Depp and 070 Shake, who prove that affairs of the heart are closely intertwined with those of the style variety. Of course, there are also emerging love stories, like the one between Lana Del Rey and alligator wrangler husband Jeremy Dufrene or Bella Hadid and her real-life cowboy Adan Banuelos, who constantly keep us on our toes with the way they radically dress to their own accord for their outings. Still, some couples are just that cut above the rest.

Whilst it would’ve been lovely to include notable past looks like John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, we’ve limited it to the relationships that only took place whilst Who What Wear UK has been in existence. And, to keep the spirit of love alive, we’ve chosen to include couples who are still currently together. She wears Pieter Mulier’s Alaïa, vintage Gucci by Tom Ford, and Bottega Veneta borrowed from her boyfriend’s closet. Their children even wear custom Jonathan Anderson for Dior children’s suits. A date night for this couple includes heading to the annual Met Gala and flaunting their excellent taste at Santa Monica’s star-studded Italian restaurant, Giorgio Baldi. The rapper and the self-proclaimed bad gal Riri really do it like no other.

2. Victoria Beckham and David Beckham

Style Notes: Posh and Becks have a relationship straight out of a British fairytale. But instead of star-crossed lovers and evil step-mothers, you have an upstart Premier League star from Manchester, a global pop sensation from nearby Essex and a love that’s spanned over twenty years. Throughout each decade, they’ve brought their own respective taste to the relationship, from her Spice Girls-era little black dresses to his Real Madrid-days frosted tips and her WAG-inspired bleached extensions and Hermès Birkins. Bridging both old and new media, David and Victoria Beckham have always mastered matching one another’s sartorial energies. Though they’ve since levelled up from being the front pages of tabloid rags to helming their own documentary series chronicling their respective lives and legacies, the Beckhams have always used fashion to their advantage, making them the exemplar of a modern power couple.

3. Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles

Style Notes: Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles might be the most nascent couple on this list, however, the short span of their relationship should in no way disregard the countless displays of harmonious style. The actress and the musician began casually dating back in August after the pair were caught strolling arm and arm by onlookers. They’ve since taken their tryst international following on from this soft launch, showing up in Rome, New York and London to parade both their burgeoning romance and matching pieces from The Row. The definition of his and her dressing, you know a couple has a good thing going when the only envy you feel for them is the designer clothes on their backs.

Style Notes: Tangled up in a web of Vivenne Westwood, archival Alexander McQueen and a dazzling Jessica McCormack engagement ring is none other than Zendaya and Tom Holland. The couple met on set as co-stars in Marvel’s Spiderman franchise and, like the Peter Parkers and MJ Watsons that came before them, fell madly in love. As one of the most prolific and incredibly polished actors in Young Hollywood, it’s fitting that Zendaya found her match in Holland, a former theatre kid from South West London who shares her passion for dance, drama and method dressing. As we gear up for the next instalment of the comic book adaptation, we can count on the couple’s press tour being as coordinated and theatrical as all their public appearances.

Style Notes: Looking good is a love language. Some couples interpret this by gravitating towards one another and blending their respective sartorial proclivities into a unified front. Even though a decade in life can seem to pass by in an instant, in fashion and culture terms, a decade is a long time. With internet culture moving as fast as it does, and the sheer volume of events—not only on the red carpet but on the runways with so many international fashion weeks—it's unsurprisingly that hardly a week can go by without a hot topic to share or gossip about.

When considering the most iconic moments in fashion in the last 10 years, there are plenty to choose from. The Met Gala on the first Monday in May always presents itself with some of the most talked about celebrity outfits. Who understood the theme and nailed it? Who missed the mark completely (remember when Katy Perry went as a hamburger?). Met Ball aside, the red carpet at the Academy Awards, Cannes Film Festival and more movie premiers serve looks worth talking about long after the films screening ends.

Outside of Hollywood, there's the usual fashion week calendar, which can promise some major model debuts and celebrity sightings—it was just in September we saw the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2 (in character) at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan, can it get more iconic than that? On top of all this, I've also considered the biggest 'movements' or trends in the last 10 years. From millennial pink to logomania, to the rise of streetwear and the more recent Y2K renaissance, these trends made a huge impact not only on how we dress, but how we consume culture and, to an extent, live our lives. But more on that further below.

And without further adieu, these are the 10 most iconic moments between 2015-2025.

1. The Devil Wears Prada at Milan Fashion Week

Two decades after the film's release, watching the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2 at Milan Fashion Week (filming scenes for the much awaited sequel) felt perfectly full circle. Seeing Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci seated front row at Dolce & Gabbana's Milan Fashion Week show sent social media into overdrive. It wasn't just nostalgia; it was a reminder that fashion, at its best, tells stories that last far longer than a single season.

2. Rihanna's 'Omelette' Dress

When Rihanna stepped onto the Met Gala red carpet in Guo Pei's show-stopping yellow gown, the world collectively stopped scrolling. The look, which was nicknamed the "omelette dress", was pure theatre: a 55-pound couture creation that transformed the Met steps into a royal runway. It wasn't just a fashion moment; it was a declaration that red carpet dressing could be art, spectacle, and self-expression all at once.

3. Brat Girl Summer

Charli XCX's BRAT era ushered in a new wave of raw, chaotic glamour. The look—marked by slick hair, statement eyeliner, low-slung everything and most importantly green—wasn't about being polished. It was about attitude. In a year defined by pop culture maximalism, BRAT became more than an album aesthetic, it became a shorthand for a mood.

4. JLo's Versace Dress 2.0

Nearly twenty years after the original green Versace dress broke the internet, Jennifer Lopez returned to the runway in an updated version for the brand's Spring and Summer 2020 show. The crowd's reaction said it all, this was fashion nostalgia done right. The jungle-print gown reminded everyone that few things rival a pop culture callback, especially when it's worn by the woman who made it iconic in the first place.

5. Quiet Luxury

After years of logo-heavy fashion, 2023 was all about understatement. Think The Row coats, Toteme tailoring and Jennifer Lawrence in simple linen trousers that felt quietly confident. The focus was on quality, not quantity, a subtle rebellion against the constant need to stand out.

6. Bella Hadid and the 'Spray-On' Dress at Coperni

When Bella Hadid stepped onto the Coperni runway and had a dress literally sprayed onto her body, fashion entered a new era of tech-meets-couture. The moment went viral instantly, it was part performance art, part design innovation, and reminded the world that the runway can still surprise us.

7. Y2K Rebirth

By 2021, the return of low-rise jeans, baby tees and rhinestone everything had officially taken over. Influencers channelled early-2000s Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, reviving a wardrobe once dismissed as a guilty pleasure. It marked a shift towards playful, self-aware dressing—proof that sometimes, the trends we once left behind are the ones we end up missing most.

8. Zendaya's Mugler Fembot Look

Zendaya's appearance in the archival Mugler fembot suit for the Dune: Part Two premiere reminded everyone why she's fashion's most compelling dresser. The metallic creation from Mugler's Autumn and Winter 1995 collection felt futuristic yet grounded in fashion history—a masterclass in styling that paid homage to Thierry Mugler's boundary-pushing legacy.

9. Kim Kardashian in Marilyn Monroe's Dress at The Met Ball

Kim Kardashian's decision to wear Marilyn Monroe's original "Happy Birthday Mr. President" gown at the Met Gala became one of the most talked-about fashion choices of the decade. The Jean Louis design, loaned from Ripley's Believe It or Not, sparked debates about preservation, celebrity and spectacle. Regardless of opinion, it was a cultural crossover moment that cemented fashion's power to rewrite history in real time.

10. Billy Porter Oscars Tuxedo dress

Billy Porter's velvet tuxedo gown by Christian Siriano in 2019 redefined what red carpet dressing could look like. The contrast of structured tailoring and sweeping skirt sparked a global conversation about boundaries in fashion. It was confident, powerful and beautifully unapologetic; proof that the best style moments are the ones that make us question the rules.

I'm definitely biased, but I think tennis is the most stylish sport. Top-ranked players wear Miu Miu skirts and Rolex watches, and spectators are often dressed like they've walked out of a Ralph Lauren ad. This is true for all four of the Grand Slam tournaments each year, but nowhere is the convergence of fashion and tennis more apparent than at Wimbledon.

On court, players are required to adhere to the tournament's strict all-white dress code, but they still find ways to make fashion statements. In 2025, for instance, Coco Gauff wore an intricate white dress by New Balance. "It's incredible the embroidery work they designed for that dress," says Sunita Kumar Nair, author of the new book Ace: The Times & Style of Tennis. "It's kind of like British punk and Vivienne Westwood and rock and roll and all the things that Coco likes. It's so detailed. It's like couture."

"I think there is a really strong argument that performance design is very close to couture," Kumar Nair continues. "The fabrics are tried and tested, and it's a really big journey for the athlete. The outfits can take a year to design." My favorite fashion moment included in Ace is Roger Federer's cream-colored cable-knit cardigan with gold trim, which he wore to Wimbledon in 2008. By the time he removed the sweater to hit his first serve, he had already solidified his place in tennis fashion history.

"There's a beautiful relationship between fashion designers and sports stars now, and it's just getting bigger and bigger," Kumar Nair tells Who What Wear. "I was just reading that Jack Draper has signed a $5 million deal with Vuori, and Naomi Osaka was just at the Met Gala. I think there is so much that's going to happen with the sports world and, in particular, tennis because of the kind of money that it can engender."

1. Polka Dots

In 1987, Princess Diana sat courtside in the Royal Box wearing red-and-white polka dots.

Wearing polka-dotted Alessandra Rich, Kate Middleton presented the Gentlemen's Singles Trophy to Novak Djokovic in 2022.

Then pregnant with her first child, Margot Robbie wore polka-dotted Alaïa to the championships in 2024.

Dairy Boy founder Paige Lorenze wore a polka-dot Self-Portrait dress to cheer on Tommy Paul at Wimbledon in 2024.

Polka dots are nothing new around the Wimbledon grounds. British actress Aleta Morrison wore the classic print to the event in 1959.

Anna Wintour, ever the tennis fan, attended the tournament in 2023 wearing a polka-dot dress by Balenciaga.

2. Butter-Yellow Suiting

Princess Diana wore a pastel-yellow skirt suit to the championships in 1995.

3. Varsity Sweaters

Name a more iconic cardigan—I'll wait. Federer's 2008 sweater will go down in fashion history.

Williams wore a varsity cardigan during warm-ups in 2011. She shed the extra layer once her matches started, revealing a white dress underneath.

Tim Henman—the former number one British tennis player for whom Henman Hill is named—was pictured strolling around Wimbledon between matches in a varsity sweater in 1994.

Six years before Adidas named its iconic sneakers after him, Smith hoisted the Gentlemen's Singles Trophy in 1972 wearing a varsity sweater.

Arsenal soccer star Myles Lewis-Skelly, pictured here in 2025, is also a fan of the trend.

Frank Hunter and Algernon Kingscote competed against each other at Wimbledon in 1927. Varsity sweaters have never gone out of style in the nearly 100 intervening years.

4. Striped Button-Down Shirts With and Without Ties

In 2024, Zendaya continued to play up the tennis theme of her movie Challengers by attending the women's final.

After a long evening spent in towering heels and theatrical couture, the day after the Met Gala must be devoted to comfort, and I've already spotted a shoe trend amongst some of my favourite A-list attendees. Packing up their heels, celebrities were quick to slip into Maison Margiela's Tabi Split-Toe Leather Ballet Flats (£750) after this year's event.

Clearly desperate to give their feet a break, Zendaya and Emma Chamberlain ditched their stilettos in favour of Maison Margiela's iconic (and controversial) Tabi flats on Tuesday morning. With their signature hoof-like silhouette, Tabis are undeniably divisive. Some call them avant-garde, others can’t get past the cloven-hoof design. But amongst fashion insiders? They have cult status as the ultimate "ugly shoe".

Only hours earlier, Zendaya was teetering in 150mm Jimmy Choo Max platform stilettos, whilst Chamberlain opted for a sharp pair of pointed-toe pumps—so it’s no surprise both gravitated towards something flatter (and far more forgiving) the next morning. Whilst they might not be to everyone’s taste, Tabis just won't quit. And when some of the world’s best-dressed celebs choose the same flats after fashion's biggest night out? Out of all the decades, I'd argue that the '60s was one of—if not the most—iconic time for bob hairstyles. In my opinion, the '60s bob is the bob. During this era, legendary hairstylist Vidal Sassoon pioneered the 5-point haircut which led to short, geometric haircuts, such as bobs, becoming one of the defining hair trends of the decade. Think former first lady Jackie Kennedy, fashion designer Mary Quant and actress and singer Diana Ross, who all embraced modern bobs with a signature '60s silhouette during this era.

And lately, it seems one sort of '60s bob hair trend is having somewhat of a revival in 2025, with celebrities such as Selena Gomez and Zendaya embracing big, Jackie O-esque bouncy bobs on the red carpets.

What Is a '60s Bob?

"The '60s bob is a short, jaw-length bob that is chunky through the outline giving plenty of movement and bounce through the ends," says Cos Sakkas, three-times British Hairdresser of the Year and Toni & Guy global creative director.

'60s bobs have plenty of volume at the roots and a luxurious swing or bounce through the lengths. "It’s all in the detail—the '60s bob has that little bit of extra polish and sophistication," says Sakkas, who says this is a versatile hairstyle you can wear in various partings. "The '60s bob is effortless and cool. It’s a nod to the past but totally modern and it looks great if left to dry naturally or softer when blowdried," he says.

Who Suits a '60s Bob?

"The great thing about the bob is there is a shape to suit every face shape," says Sakkas. "The oval face shape is the luckiest as all bobs suit this face shape, especially the '60s bob," he says.

How To Style a '60s Bob

"As with any styling, try to keep touching it to a minimum to avoid it frizzing," says Sakkas. "Apply Label.M Anti-Frizz Smoothing Balm (£26) through the mid-lengths and ends and leave to dry naturally, or blow-dry with a big round brush (or a hot brush) for a more polished finish," he says.

Hear me out: in my opinion, there's no better time of year to wear a miniskirt than January.

I know many think of the first month of the year as cold and lethargic, but others tackle it with a renewed sense of self-expression. Rather than falling exactly into either camp, I tend to take a fairly split approach. Trying my best to fight off the winter blues and embrace the new year with a fresh bout of energy, I always like to get a little more experimental in the coldest, darkest month by digging out some of the overlooked items in my wardrobe and trying to breathe some new life into them.

My favourite piece to revisit at this time of year is a classic miniskirt, and apparently, I'm not alone. Suddenly cropping up in the wardrobes of celebrities everywhere, this unconventional winter buy is undoubtedly having a moment right now. Yesterday, Zendaya, Kendall Jenner and Lily Allen all stepped out wearing variations of the miniskirt within hours of one another, so I think it's fair to say we're going to see a lot more short hemlines around.

This time, that trend is one she wore both before and after the Met Gala, and it simply consisted of tying a silk scarf to her bag. In this case, that bag was a Louis Vuitton tote, which she adorned with a neutral-coloured scarf.

Lately, everyone has taken to "Birkin-ifying" their bags, AKA adorning them with tchotchke that add personality to them. It may be 2024 now, but it seems we're still very much in our bob era. And hair salons agree; it's been the haircut of the past 12 months. We saw every type of bob haircut have its moment last year, and the short style shows no sign of going anywhere. Curious to know what hair trends will be big in 2024, I asked hairdressers to share the bob trends that they're backing now, and two of them tipped the "Baroque bob" as the next big thing. 

What Is the Baroque Bob?

So, what is a "baroque bob" exactly? I asked Rachael Gibson, aka The Hair Historian, to give us some historical context to the Baroque era. "The Baroque refers to a movement in European art and design from the 17th century which centred on extremely elaborate and ornate art and architecture," she says. "This desire for highly decorative design was reflected in hairstyles of the time, which were equally flamboyant and full of rich details.

"Women would have generally worn their hair in a centre parting with a bun at the back of the head, with tumbling tight ringlets on either side adding a sense of drama and grandeur to their appearance. It was an era that was all about exaggerated, elaborate detailing with bows, ribbons and corkscrew curls creating a highly feminine appearance," she adds.

Hairstylists predict that we'll be seeing more voluminous curls and natural textures in these shorter bob cuts. "In 2023, Baroque-inspired curls brought an air of opulence to the fashion world, with Versace’s runway as a prominent example, says Jason Crozier, hairstylist at Neville Hair and Beauty "For 2024, the trend has evolved with a contemporary twist. Celebrities like Zendaya continue to embrace voluminous curls, but now with a hint of avant-garde geometric shapes, offering a combination of timeless beauty and modern artistry," he says.

Jordanna Cobella, British Hairdressing Awards London Hairdresser of the Year 2023 and creative director of Cobella Salon, also predicts the rise of the Baroque bob. "The Baroque bob is a hairstyle inspired by the opulence and intricate details of the Baroque era," says Cobella. "It often features a shorter length with voluminous curls, waves or elaborate textures. The trend in 2024 may stem from a desire for bold, statement looks and a fusion of historical aesthetics with contemporary styles, creating a visually striking and unique appearance," she adds.

I have tried a lot of haircuts in my time and I can officially tell you I am walking into 2023 knowing which one I suit best—preferably towards an industrial sized fan for dramatic effect. To set the scene, let me fill you in on my hair type. I have fine hair but a lot of it, and I’ve always loved the idea of having Rapunzel-esque locks. But once mine gets past a certain length it starts to look thinner at the ends and generally lacks that enviable oomph. 

Last year, after painstakingly growing my hair past my shoulders for my wedding so I could have the up-do I wanted, I swiftly booked in for the chop. In preparation, I went back through old pictures and realised that the length my hair is at its absolute prime is when it’s cut into a bob. It looks thicker, it frames my face better and I find it’s so much more versatile. It’s also strangely addictive, and since going short again, I get just that little bit more cut off each time I go to the hairdressers. Could this signal the impending arrival of a pixie cut? Maybe...

I am definitely not alone in my adoration for this timeless haircut. It was just last month when chatting to celebrity hairstylist Larry King about the classiest haircuts of all time he hailed the bob his number one style. "Look at all the bobs that have transitioned through the era’s on icons like Louise Brookes in the ’20s, Faye Dunaway in the ’60s and Winona Ryder in the ’90s,” he explained. As for the icon of the modern era, just look to Zendaya and her softly-textured short bob she recently debuted at the Euphoria FYC event in LA.

With all this in mind, I wanted to share the quick and easy ways I regularly style my bob along with the tools and products I use to create each look. Scroll down to discover my personal tips and tricks on how to style a bob haircut. 

1. Flicked Ends

Seen on the likes of Kendall Jenner, Margot Robbie and Saweetie, this retro style is a red carpet go-to and a favourite way to wear my hair right now. The key to this look is running a heated round brush through the hair and flicking it out at the ends, and then going in with a serum and hairspray to keep it looking super sleek while taming any flyaways. I personally prefer it best when I pair it with a middle parting, but it works just as well with the parting on the side.

2. Softly-Textured with Side Parting

I have naturally wavy hair, so this style is the perfect way to further enhance it. Start with the hair in a centre parting and then with the Dyson Airwrap or a medium barrelled tong, alternate the direction of the curls the whole way round. Flip the hair over to your preferred side and add a root lift spray to achieve the voluminous side parting.

3. Claw Clip Up-Do

I am not exaggerating when I say I have a claw clip in every handbag, room, pocket…you get the gist. When my hair is shorter, bobbles don’t seem to keep it all in place so these kind of clips are an absolute must – especially as I've always loved wearing it up. Start by pulling all the hair away from the face into a low ponytail with your hands, start twisting it with your finger, wrap it around the base of the ponytail you’ve created and hold it in place with your claw clip. I’d advise going for the larger sized ones if you have a bob.

4. Sleek and Straight

There’s something about a super sleek and shiny bob that will always have my heart. It’s just as fitting at low-key post-work drinks as it is a black tie event and I can’t see it ever going out of style. To create this look, I use an anti-frizz serum on damp hair before blow-drying, and ensure I am continuously brushing my hair downwards as it’s drying. I’ll then separate it into sections and use straighteners and a finishing spray to give it the poker straight glass-like finish.

Thin hair may be low maintenance in some aspects (it requires little time to blow-dry and your salon appointments will be kept short), but it’s notoriously one of the most difficult hair types to style. Your main goal is probably all about adding lift, volume, and movement in order to create the illusion of thicker hair, but it takes more than a little effort to maintain shape and prevent roots from falling flat.

Of course, as with any hair type, getting the right haircut for thin hair sets the best foundation for finding a foolproof hairstyle. So what kinds of cuts should thin hair types request from the hairdresser? "Shorter styles adding textured layers for lots of movement can help the hair to look thicker and give body,” advises hairstylist and content creator Holly Carr. "And mid-length styles with soft face shaping are great for adding soft waves and still being able to put up. If you have long hair then Carr recommends keeping the weight in the ends. "Blunt cuts can help to keep the ends looking thicker and healthier for longer.”

When it comes to styling, Carr recommends creating waves or curls to add fullness. "You can curl the hair underneath or bring just a couple of pieces around the ears forwards toward the face,” she says. "This creates the illusion of thicker hair around the neck and face.” And for those who prefer up-dos? "Textured hair ups are also great,” she adds. "Try lifting the hair at the crown for volume and at the sides for width while any loose pieces add detail.”

So if you thought that having thin hair meant you didn’t have options, think again. With the right styling techniques and products, you’ll have hair that appears thick and voluminous in no time. Here are some of our favourite low maintenance hairstyles for thin hair.

1. Tucked Back Waves

By tucking hair behind her ears, model Karlie Kloss employs the subtle trick of keeping hair in one place to make it appear thicker.

2. Flicky Blowdry

The '90s style flicky blowdry is an effortless way to volumise thin hair. Use a round brush or your straighteners to shape hair inwards.

3. Half-Up Half-Down

Rihanna's hair looks extra voluminous when styled half-up half-down. Add a volumising mist (or in a pinch, dry shampoo) to the lengths for an extra volume boost.

4. Alternated Curls

Carr recommends curling hair in alternate directions to add volume and shape through the lengths of thin hair. It's a technique that Victoria Beckham gets right every single time.

5. Voluminous Waves

Adding volume to the roots (with some subtle backcombing) and to the ends (wide barrel tongs work best) makes hair look thicker by creating height and fullness.

6. Soft Waves

Soft, mismatched waves are a great way to add movement and dimension. Hide thin ends by curling hair from the bottom up.

7. Fluffy Fringe

Don't be afraid to experiment with a fringe even if you have thin hair. A soft, fluffy effect works best.

8. Structured Bob

Shaping hair into sculpted waves both helps to lift and emphasise the angles of your face and creates the appearance of lifted, more buoyant hair.

9. Wavy Chignon

Thin hair in an up-do doesn't have to look flat - case in point above. Curl or wave your hair before styling the up-do in order to create texture from the roots.

10. Layered Fringe

While Carr advises against a super layered look (this will thin hair out even further), a few short face-framing layers from the fringe is a great way to add shape to thin hair.

11. Bubble Ponytail

The on-trend bubble ponytail is a fun option for thin hair since it adds shape and structure throughout the lengths.

12. Angled Cut

An angled cut with longer strands towards the front adds movement and creates the illusion of more hair. Style with loose curls, like Keira Knightley, to add additional oomph.

13. Ribbon Up-Do

Not only does a ribbon distract from thin hair by adding additional movement to the lengths of your ponytail, but it's also incredibly on trend.

14. Sleek Low Bun

Looking for a low maintenance style? Sometimes you just can't beat a super sleek low bun. It may not add tons of volume, but it is super easy to recreate.

15. Curly Top-Knot

This take on a top-knot is a great option for thin curly hair as it requires a slicked-back style from the roots and focuses all the attention in one place.

16. Long Bob

Curling hair inwards and underneath is a foolproof hack for disguising thin, straggly ends.

17. Super High Ponytail

Styling hair into a super high ponytail not only creates height but allows lengths to fall with volume. Combine with curls for further depth and fullness.

2.'70s Shapes

Seventies haircuts and hairstyles are still a strong hair trend for autumn/winter 2022. "The '70s-blowout look is becoming a popular style and haircut in the salon," says Rebecca Watkins, hairstylist at Tweedie & Marshall Hairdressing. "Many of our clients are loving the chunky bangs and blow-dries with loads of volume and a big bouncy curl to finish it off."

"The '70s are still so influential for A/W 22," says Barry Maddocks, UK creative director of Haringtons. "The effortless half-up, half-down vibe is a strong vibe, and I’m totally here for it; think Brigitte Bardot, undone and effortless. This look is totally chic and is day-and-night appropriate." 

Here, Symphani Soto gives Bridgette Bardot's classic hairstyle a modern update. "To get the look, first I would create some movement throughout the hair using a GHD tong. Then, taking a Kent Brush large quill paddle brush, brush out by pulling some of the sides up and pinning in place," says Maddocks.

Not just for working from home, a messy bun is a timeless classic, and a welcome antidote to the sleek buns we've been seeing of late. And hairstylists are seeing the return of the trend, too. "I think we will also see the return of the messy bun," notes Rhys Chiwara, hairstylist at November Collective salon.

"For those with naturally textured hair, we will be seeing people embrace those stunning curls," says Maddocks. "Keeping the natural texture is super beautiful. Simone Rocha celebrated curls on the runway by teaming natural texture with hair accessories."

"Rather than working against your natural texture, work with it," says Paul Percival, the founder of Percy & Reed and a BaByliss global ambassador. "The shag haircut is a nice way to enhance a curl, and there is a type of shag cut to suit everyone, whether that's a soft fringe, square around the face or longer at the back. Whatever curl you have, there is a version to suit you. It all comes down to the layering," he adds.

6. '90s Bob

"Anything with a '90s vibe is still huge for 2022. Therefore, centre partings and boy bobs will still be in demand," predicts Percival. "When talking to your stylist about getting this look, make sure there is no graduation to the style. You want the bob to be completely square and straight, not higher at the back. It's all about sharp, sharp lines," he says.

"If the hair is heavy, you can soften the outline by texturizing through the ends," says Percival. "A great product to style this look is Percy & Reed Hold It Right There! Define & Hold Finish Cream. This is a perfect finisher for this style, as it is lightweight and can be applied to wet or dry hair for definition and hold. 7. Liquid Hair

Whether it be wet-look or super-glossy lengths, shine will be taken to new lengths in A/W 22. "This trend is stunning, and we saw models at the Fendi show sporting wet hair," says Maddocks. But if the wet look has you feeling fearful, you can still tap into the trend in a subtler way. "At home, I would blow-dry sleek and use a shine spray to give that stunning high-gloss finish," suggests Maddocks.

8. Bronzed Wood

"Shades of brown dominated A/W 22 fashion week, [with] designers such as Chloé, Chanel and ACNE Studios displaying the versatility and richness of this hue," says Wella Professionals digital craft expert Jordanna Cobella. "Bronzed Wood is a mixture of subtle caramel hues with darker neutral tones running throughout the hair. Think muted, multidimensional hues that add depth and movement to the hair," she says. What really makes the Bronzed Wood shade is the luxurious shine, making the colour look rich and luxurious.

9. Tweed Blonde

Much like the intertwining colours found in tweed, Tweed Blonde sees multiple shades of blonde weaved through the lengths of the hair for a multidimensional feel. "After periods of uncertainty, people tend to embrace warmer, richer tones that are nourishing and optimistic. We're seeing this trend transfer across to hair, with clients embracing warm golden honeycomb tones post-pandemic," says Cobella. "The beige-blonde trend has embraced a warmer palette with highs and lows of nude, beige and sandy tones. These warmer tones tend to reflect light more than ashier hues so will help the appearance of shine on the hair." 

"Wella Professionals' new in-salon Shinefinity service is perfect for achieving this look. The glaze can be woven throughout the hair to create a tweed effect, and because [it's] zero-damage, [it adds] a healthy-looking shine to the hair," says Cobella.

Ask your hair colourist to place different pieces of blonde into the hair for a three-dimensional look, which instantly makes hair look thicker, too.

Each generation has its defining beauty moments. Being born in 1994, I grew up during the era when thin eyebrows were the look du jour, and as we approached the 2010s, I witnessed—and experienced—the browscape morph into HD brows (which, let's be honest, wasn't great either) before we finally settled on a happy medium of growing back our eyebrows, putting down the brow pomade and leaving our brows well alone (thanks, Glossier Boy Brow, for the support). Now, with TikTok beauty booming and Gen Z celebrities such as Sophia Richie Grainge, Zendaya and Charithra Chandran stepping on the scene, it's safe to say we're entering a new era of beauty.

Gen Z makeup trends are big news right now. But rather than trends being set in stone, this time around, it's more of a mood, explains Chanel makeup artist Anna Payne. "Gen Z are all about creating an attitude rather than a full studied look. They're using makeup as a form of expression and changing their makeup looks daily to suit their mood. It's about enjoying being who you are and celebrating it, not trying to change it," she says.

Indeed, we've seen so many versions of Gen Z makeup. Whether it's full-on glam "night luxe" or "clean girl" beauty, the beauty rule book is being rewritten. To investigate further, we spoke to some of the top makeup artists about the top Gen Z makeup trends and the best products to get the look.

1. Glazed Skin

It's official: Hydrated, glowing skin is here to stay. "Skin is incredibly important," says Payne. "Emphasis is on showing off texture and freckles rather than covering them up. Multitasking products are key to this. They need something that's going to work hard. Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint is perfect. It can be used precisely where it's needed to cover any redness or imperfections, still allowing the true skin texture to shine through."

"Once your skin is looking amazing, you can add a bold colourful eye, geometric shapes or crystallised liner, and because the skin is so raw, the contrast gives an air of nonchalance and effortlessness that Gen Z are after," adds Payne. We love this glowing-skin look on Hailey Bieber.

2. "Clean Girl" Makeup

You can't go on TikTok without being presented with the "clean girl" aesthetic. This makeup look builds on glowing skin, but the rest of the makeup is kept minimal. Think a subtle brown eye shadow swept along the lash line and into a diffused wing, a slick of mascara and glossy lips.

Searches for simple makeup are popular on TikTok, with over two million "simple makeup" hashtags. I love this minimal look on Marcela Alcala.

3. Night Luxe Glam

Night luxe is the antithesis of clean girl beauty. It's about getting dressed up, going out and staying out late. In line with this mood and the popularity of makeup looks from Euphoria, we're seeing many celebs embracing metallic eye shadow, smokey eyes and lashings of mascara. Full-on glam is back once again. 

Semi-sheer washes of metallic eye shadow add a twinkle when placed in the inner corners of the eyes.

4. Sun-Kissed Blusher

Blusher has been making a big comeback, particularly among Gen Z. This time, though, it's all about the placement. Rather than just applying it to your cheeks, Gen Z sweep it onto the high points of the cheekbones and adds a light touch onto the nose to tie the look together, resulting in a naturally sun-kissed effect. Think the slight flush you might get on your skin after sitting in the sun for the afternoon.

Olivia Rodrigo's blusher is applied high onto the cheekbones with a dusting on the nose, too. Makeup artist Lilly Keys created this look for Rodrigo at this year's Grammys. "I combined together Cloud Paint in both Beam and Storm and blended onto the apples of the cheeks very lightly, using small circular motions with a fluffy brush, adding a tiny bit to the bridge of the nose for that sun-kissed, healthy glow," she says.

5. Graphic Liner

"One of the biggest trends being seen currently is graphic eye liner," notes Dominic Skinner, global senior artist at MAC Cosmetics. "However, it's uncomplicated and fuss-free. It's applied like an afterthought, though. That's what you're meant to believe. The key is to keep it simple by using pencils, but make it strong, intense and visible no matter what colour you use," he says.

We love a hint of blue, particularly on brown eyes.

We were amazed to spy that hairstylist Antoinette (aka @hairbyantoinettenyc) used Tresemmé hair spray to fix Zendaya's updo.

Sharing how she created Zendaya’s swept-up hair of dreams on Instagram, Antoinette said: "I sprayed @tresemme’s One Step Volume Mist at the roots as I dried with @t3micro’s AireBrush Duo with the round brush attachment to create volume. After attaching the clip-ins [extensions], I secured the hair with a soft elastic and hair pin in the back. To complete the look, I pinched out tendrils around the perimeter and finished with the TRESemmé Total Volume Spray for an all-day hold.”

H.E.R.'s £15 Foundation

Makeup artist Marissa Vossen detailed the full list of products used on H.E.R. on Instagram, which were all L'Oréal Paris. To create her luminous complexion, she used L'Oréal Paris True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum in shade 7-8 Tan Deep to create H.E.R.'s glowing base.

Maddie Ziegler wore the perfect red nail colour—a timeless mainstay for the red carpet. Manicurist Thuy Nguyen opted for OPI's We the Female shade. "Tonight's Oscar nails for Maddie is very classic and very Hollywood," she said on Instagram. "I used OPI's We The Female to execute this look."

Lupita Nyong'o's £13 Styling Spray

Hairstylist Vernon François used Matrix products to create Lupita's look. "It is a sisterlocks updo with a soft, graceful, glamorous feel influenced by what Lupita is wearing and the occasion," he said. One of the key products used was Matrix Miracle Creator, a multiple-purpose spray that primes the hair for styling.

Zendaya has become one of the most highly anticipated celebrities at red carpet events, and this year's Oscars were no different. She and stylist Law Roach have become one of fashion's favorite duos, providing us with stunning, bar-raising red carpet looks. Tonight, Zendaya decided to ditch the traditional long-gown style and wear a crop top and metallic skirt by Valentino. She can pull off virtually anything, but this look is especially gorgeous. The top is a cropped silk dress shirt with a classic collar and button-down detailing, and the hem is cut in a way that gives us a peek at Zendaya's midsection. Paired with it were a floor-length silver skirt and a silver bracelet wrapped around her arm. The metallic skirt added the perfect touch of Hollywood glam and elevated the whole ensemble.

American designers always have one event circled on the calendar in thick red pen: the annual CFDA Fashion Awards, which honours the fashion industry's top talent. This year's red carpet was filled to the brim with well-dressed celebrities like Zendaya, Ciara, host Emily Blunt, and Anya Taylor-Joy, who came with their fashion A-game to support the nominees.
