It seems to be a universal truth that anyone who wore a school uniform will find that, in later life, they are unable to wear anything that vaguely resembles said uniform—be it a particular colour, cut, or fabric. For me, this manifested in an aversion to sweatshirts, an item of clothing I wore for the entirety of primary and secondary school. I always envied the pupils at the nearby private school who got to wear fancy V-neck jumpers and blazers rather than our sad, maroon-coloured, and chewed-sleeve sweatshirts (talk about "grass is greener").
