One brand that falls into the latter category is an eternally buzzy one that wisely partnered up with a luxury brand for an ongoing collaboration that has paid off in leaps and bounds. And even though these frames don't even have a logo emblazoned on them (as most designer brands do), they're instantly recognisable to those in the know. This is my favorite trend out of the bunch. I love spring layering. Gen Z fashion people, in particular, are really into the bug-eyed sunglass trend. They’re so dramatic, and I mean that in the best way. They give a diva-esque vibe and are perfect for especially bright days outside in the sun. I spotted this trend take shape at some of the top labels showing in Paris and New York, such as Coach, Saint Laurent, Victoria Beckham and Loewe, indicating that the demand for oversized eye protection has gone global. I think this trend works best with tortoiseshell frames to keep things a little bit classic, and smoked-out, tinted lenses to give that paparazzi-fleeing factor.

Style Notes: Celestial fashion has gone viral, and I am taking note of this trend waving its sparkling hand over earrings, necklaces and hair accessories, too. XXL crystals, bursts of silver, tangles of fine chains and asymmetrical gems resemble galaxies and nebulae far, far away—and I'm all for it. Style Notes: Historically, I don't think belts get enough airtime. That is all to change in 2026, as designers look to give this accessory a serious rebrand. If there's one accessory I can never resist, it's a good pair of sunglasses, and not just because they pull a look together in that effortless way we all strive for (though they absolutely do). For me, sunglasses are as much about practicality as style. I'm that person who wears them year-round, partly because I'm light-sensitive and partly because they add a layer of cool to even the most basic outfits (and we all know they work wonders at hiding tired eyes after a late night).

Style Notes: Do not adjust your screen. You’re not seeing unreleased costume pictures of Margot Robbie from the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but bearing witness to arguably the most influential sunglasses trend of 2025. "When it comes to the sunglasses I predict will be big for summer, my mind immediately goes to Chanel," she explains. When you're a fashion editor, people always assume that your outfits and wardrobe are dripping in designer pieces, but this isn't always the case. At least, it isn't for me! Thanks to cult favourite Hunza G, several celebrity sightings and a certain Baywatch revival, the one-piece is back and chicer than ever, and it doubles as a bodysuit when worn with trousers. What's not to love?

Style Notes: In the interest of continuing the wearability focus, I bring you the maxi skirt. Jersey, satin, cotton, linen and crochet skirts are perfect for a summer spent sweeping around the city or propping up a beach bar, and are taking the place of the pleated midi styles that dominated our wardrobes a few years back.

Style Notes: Okay, this piece doesn't have tan lines in mind, but the humble tank top is one of the biggest breakout trends of the last year, and it shows no signs of slowing down in 2024. Maybe it's the cost per wear, as you'll never have to shell out three figures for premium quality. Or maybe it's just the downright good looks of it. Style Notes: Three cheers for sandal season! It's been a long wait to bare some skin, and now that the sun is shining, it's time to book a pedi as we're looking for sandals that let our feet breathe. Before you opt out of flip-flops altogether, the classic sandals will be a forever favourite, but given their longevity, it makes sense to invest in a pair of leather sandals that will go the distance rather than a quick holiday buy. If The Row has taught us anything, it's that thong sandals are even better in luxe leather, but the same also applies to wedges, mules, sliders, etc.

If you asked me what the most underrated fashion item is, I'd have to say accessories. As style devotees, we at Who What Wear spend a lot of time discussing outfit formulas, finessing layering and ideating over shoe options, but truth be told, the power of a great look is held in the smaller details. If you're more of a classicist, the Caria is a solid option. The curved edges add a softness for those looking for an understated pair of sunglasses. Plus, these feature the new logo plaque that's inspired by Georgian jewellery lockets.

The Yara lenses are shaped like hearts around the eye, creating almost a visor-shaped frame. The lightweight frame is perfectly balanced with the slim arms, which adds to this pair's delicate impression. I predict these will be everywhere as we enter festival season.

As if plucked from the finest vintage store, the Joanne embodies retro eyewear in all its glory. From the bold, circular-shaped frames to the tortoiseshell finish, this impactful pair is the kind people spend years searching for.

THE ROCOCCO

True to the brand, the Rococco embraces classic style with a Westwood edge. The soft, wired edges of the hexagonal lenses are harmonised with the addition of intricate attachments and temple details.

THE ZEPHYR

The Zephyr Sunglasses are understated with a twist. The gradient lens adds a directional touch to the classic silhouette, and the thick frames are particularly striking. They're also made from 100% bio-based acetate!

There are two types of people: Those who wear sunglasses year-round, and those who reserve them for spring and summer. Though there are arguments for the former (not least to protect your eyes from the winter sun), I've always belonged to the latter camp. It might sound silly, but I always enjoy the first outing of my favourite shades—it's my small way of marking the beginning of sunshine season.

For every time I've found myself standing perplexed in front of the wardrobe, there has been a pair of sunnies to fix it. Tired and in a rush? Unless you've been living in a cave with no internet for the past week, you're probably aware that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are in Italy to celebrate her 52nd birthday.
