Where leggings were once the style set's default for off-duty dressing, I've noticed the coolest dressers are increasingly favouring relaxed, straight-leg track pants for the day-to-day. For one, online marketplace and clothing reseller StockX has reported a remarkable 209% year-on-year increase in Vans sales. And if that wasn't enough, Sofia Richie-Grainge has just stepped out wearing a pair herself.

Spotted during an off-duty outing in L.A., Sofia skipped sandals in favour of a "dated" pair of Vans checkerboard slip-ons. It’s an undeniable fact that Sofia Richie Grainge knows great perfume. From her long-standing love for Jo Malone scents to her supposed go-to perfume, Frederic Malle’s Carnal Flower, she’s a connoisseur of smelling effortless and elegant. So, when she took to Australian, niche fragrance brand Who is Elijah’s comment section to share she’d placed an order of the brand's Nomad perfume, I made it my mission to find out more about them.

Created in 2018 by Raquel Bouris, Who is Elijah offers a collection of 14 perfumes, each designed to reflect the multi-faceted nature of those who wear them. For this reason, rather than focusing on a single note or fragrance family, each perfume expertly blends together different dimensions to create scents that smell interesting and unique.

I first heard about the brand when they touched down in the UK in October of last year, and since then their popularity has grown exponentially. While still under the radar, they are some of the most popular perfumes among insiders.

After Sofia's TikTok comment, Bouris found herself hand-delivering two of the brand's most-loved scents (Nomad and Morning After, in case you were wondering) to Sofia’s LA home.

While Sofia, of course, has great taste when it comes to fragrance, these two aren’t the only Who Is Elijah perfumes of note. I’ve been sampling the brand for a few months now, and I can honestly say the perfumes have exceeded my expectations, smelling incredibly expensive and feeling so easy to wear. If there's anything that's going to stop me mid-scroll it has to be a new Sofia Richie-Grainge outfit, and her Thanksgiving 2024 look might be one of her best.

Preparing for a day of feasting and festivities, the model assembled the most practical—and chic—outfit that one could possibly wear at this time of year. Casting aside the jeans she often opts for—let's face it: no one wants to wear jeans when there's lots of food involved—Richie-Grainge selected a sleek knitted skirt co-ord that offers warmth, elegance and comfort. If you ask me, it's the ultimate triple-threat winter outfit.

Styling her knitted co-ord with gold statement earrings and silver wedges, she dressed up her set in an easy but impactful way. As with all knitted two-pieces, this outfit has a luxurious energy thanks to its material—woollen pieces tend to look more high-end than other fabrics such as jersey or lyocell; their weight contributing to a premium-looking silhouette regardless of how much you've spent.

Whilst Richie-Grainge decided to invest in a designer iteration (her cashmere set from Lisa Yang totals £800), this is one trend I genuinely think looks just as good when found on the high street. As such, I've found a plethora of elegant styles that are reduced for Cyber Mondayy.

This morning, I logged on to my laptop and started my day with a quick browse through some recent celebrity looks.

Having been inundated with Halloween outfits over the past few days, I was keen to refresh my inspiration boards with some chic outfit ideas that didn't involve any fake blood or prosthetic makeup. Luckily, my search coincided with the wash-up of images from the LACMA Art and Film Gala that took place over the weekend. With a guest list brimming with celebrity style icons, this fancy event was the perfect chance to get to grips with some of the partywear trends set to take off this winter.

Retaining a sophisticated energy whilst indulging in some playful silhouettes, this event was a treasure trove of event-dressing inspiration. Impressed by the looks seen throughout, I couldn't help but notice a glossy winter 2024 trend embraced by some of my favourite celebrities on the night.

Stepping out in a rich and lavish shade, Sofia Richie Grainge, Emily Ratajkowski and Yara Shahidi all opted for dresses in an elegant chocolate-brown colour. Wearing hers in a full-coverage, draped design, Richie Grainge let the expensive-looking nature of the colour dominate her evening ensemble. Styling her Saint Laurent gown with gold earrings, a layered gold choker necklace and a spattering of rings and bangles, her outfit is one I would more than happily replicate.

Also styling the dress trend, Ratajkowski stepped out in a vintage off-the-shoulder vintage Donna Karan dress from the brand's autumn/winter 1996 collection. Featuring a drop-waist design consisting of a satin top and a velvet skirt, the dress spoke to several major winter trends whilst appearing timeless and classy thanks to the decadent shade.

Appearing across a number of autumn/winter 2024 runway collections earlier this year, chocolate-brown dresses have been affirmed by designers as a major look for the season ahead. Seen throughout the offerings of Bottega Veneta, Dior, Courrèges, Gucci and many others, refined brown dresses have been on my radar ever since.

Styling a floor-sweeping number in an equally rich hue, actor Yara Shahidi wore a twisted-strap Gucci dress with a halterneck design for the evening occasion. Pairing hers with chic drop earrings and a small selection of rings and bangles, she employed the same less-is-more approach to brown party-dress styling as Richie Grainge and Ratajkowski.

Spotted in Sienna Miller's new Marks & Spencer edit, as well as at Reformation, Zara and & Other Stories, the trend is hard to miss this season. And why would you want to? When it looks this sophisticated, it's no wonder so many stylish people are choosing brown dresses over black this year.

Padded with extra cushioning to achieve the bomber silhouette, the leather exterior retains body heat, whilst the oversized cut means that you can layer jumpers and thermals undeath without adding too much bulk.

Catering to the growing demand, brands have been quick to offer their take on the trend. Saint Laurent's styles' have been snapped up by Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, but brands such as Reformation and Massimo Dutti all stock chic versions, too.

When you love fashion, you tend to fall into one of two categories: you're either a shoe person or a bag person (with a few outliers who take on both as their specialist subjects). For me, it's handbags. Big, small, top-handle, clutch—I'm infatuated with this particular accessory. Stepping out over the weekend, Sofia Richie Grainge broke what some might call a cardinal sin of fashion, but she did tap into some growing trends in the process. Be honest: who among us can say that we haven't wished for the opportunity to dig around in a celebrity's wardrobe? If there's one celebrity that can convince me to try pretty much anything, it's Sofia Richie. I don't know what hold the star has over me, but if I see her using a particular beauty product, I have to get my hands on it straight away. For example, when she posted her lavender manicure on TikTok, I went to the salon that same weekend in order to try the colour out for myself (spoiler: I loved it).

Over the past few weeks we've noticed celebrities have been forgoing classic black, brown and beige accessories in favour of one of the most talked about colours for the AW23 season—bright red. Sofia Richie, Margot Robbie, Hailey Bieber and Zoe Kravitz (a list that reads like the who's who of the most stylish celebrities right now) have all stepped out recently in really simple looks that have been instantly elevated by red accessories. That should be enough to persuade anyone of this trend's legitimacy, but with New York Fashion Week in full swing, we've also started to see red shoes and bags being worn by so many chic showgoers. Believe us when we say this about to be the hottest (fiery pun intended) look of the season. 

To attend the Proenza Schouler SS24 New York Fashion Week runway show, Sofia Richie styled a strapless black and white dress with a no-fuss black clutch bag and minimal earrings. Livening up her style, Richie opted for a pointed toe slip-on ballet flat in a tomato red—perhaps the freshest way to wear the colour right now. 

This simple addition of the season's sharpest shade injected a playful element to Richie's look without compromising the elegant styling that she's become known for. 

Late last month, amid celebrations of the launch of Rhode's Strawberry Glaze Lip Treat, Hailey Bieber sported a range of thematic outfits that she accessorised with red bags and shoes. Styling up her little white dress, Bieber wore her red Manolo Blahnik mules, a red handbag and lick of red polish on her long nails. Altering her hair colour to the trending cowboy copper tone, Hailey piled on the red accents to elevate her stylish look.

Jeans are staples year-round, but autumn/winter always ushers in new trends and ways of styling when it comes to these trousers. As a jean devotee, I'm always happy to see the return of constants, like dark-wash denim and wide-leg styles, as well as new denim trends. This year, there have been many, but one is particularly interesting because it has to do with colour rather than cut. Meet brown jeans.

Dark brown shades pair beautifully with black and other neutrals, as proven by Pia.

Whilst black and ecru are usually the furthest I usually venture in the realm of coloured denim, I've been convinced not only by my love for the colour brown, but by the brown jeans outfits I've seen on influencers and celebrities. What's most satisfying about this colour trend is just how many shades of brown exist, making it easy to edit your outfits as you see fit. Darker espresso shades are just as sleek as an alternative to black jeans, beige and camel-coloured pairs are great for tonal outfits and medium browns are a warm, seasonal upgrade from your usual blue jeans.

Similar to the blue pairs in your wardrobe, brown jeans are ideal candidates for a double-denim look, like Sofia's. It feels a touch more elevated and rich-looking, in my opinion, than its blue counterpart and slots in perfectly with the shoes you wear most this season, from ankle boots to loafers to trainers. Brown denim also pairs well with the jacket trends emerging, especially seeing that brown outerwear is trending too. You can style them with boxy leather jackets, trench coats, waxy barn jackets and wool coats as winter settles in. The numerous possibilities are enough evidence for me that blue jeans can be swapped out for a brown pair on almost any occasion.

I'm dubbing the colour of Lorna's jeans café au lait. Light brown jeans offer so much for tonal outfits. Try pairing them with a cocoa brown jumper like she has.

After our slightly '80s-inspired (and very loud luxury) cover spread starring none other than 2023's It girl Sofia Richie Grainge, I can't say I was surprised to find a slideshow featuring one of the era's biggest and most relevant-right-now trends pop up on her Instagram feed. That's not to say I wasn't happy to see it there, especially since I've been rallying behind the vintage outerwear's return to fame for quite some time now. If you haven't yet guessed, I'm referring to the tapered-in, gold-buttoned, big-shouldered blazers and jackets from the oft-slept-on decade in fashion that—thanks to brands like Saint Laurent, Alaïa, Schiaparelli, and more—are making a massive comeback for autumn. 

Richie Grainge, in particular, chose a highlighter-yellow take on the style, with hers featuring a military-style collar and a long-line silhouette. Though the photos, which she captioned with just a lemon emoji, don't show her entire 'fit, she appears to be wearing black jeans and carrying an Hermès Swift Kelly bag, a style that's currently on sale for over £13,000 (casual).

Celebrities might have access to the very best dermatologists, expensive skincare and luxurious treatments (it takes a village to look red-carpet ready, after all), but you might be surprised to know that they actually have a few affordable skincare brands amongst their product arsenal. Yes, really. I'm talking under-£20 brands that you'll find dermatologists and makeup artists quick to recommend to their patients and clients, too.

One of those affordable brands that celebrities flock to is Avène. The brand is a French-pharmacy skincare staple that has long been a favourite of those with sensitive skin.
