And just like that, award season is in full swing. In case you missed it, 2026 kicked off with the Golden Globes, the Grammys, the BAFTAs, and the Film Independent Spirit Awards. Up next tonight is the Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards.

Tonight's award show, hosted by Kristen Bell for the third time and streamed live on Netflix, will take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The event will cover 15 categories, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Ensemble in a Drama/Comedy Series. With movies and television shows like Wicked: For Good, Song Sung Blue, One Battle After Another, Marty Supreme, The Diplomat, and Only Murders in the Building, we can expect to see the best-dressed celebrities, including Ariana Grande, Kate Hudson, Teyana Taylor, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Keri Russell.

What makes the 2026 Actor Awards so special and exciting, especially for fashion people, is that for the first time, Elle has set the official fashion theme for its red carpet: Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the '20s and '30s. "The concept pays tribute to an era defined by bold expression, sensuality, and cultural collision," as noted in a press release. Personally, I'm eager to see how A-listers and their stylists interpret this theme. The good news is that I don't have to wait any longer, as the first celebrities are already arriving, and the energy suggests the night will be filled with stunning fashion.

We love being in the midst of award season. Why? Well, there are multiple reasons. Firstly, it means we can post up on the couch with our favorite form of takeout and maybe a glass of wine to yet again watch all of the A-list attendees filter in. It's what we did for the Golden Globes; it's what we did for the Grammy's; and now, it's what we're doing for the 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards—more colloquially known as the SAG Awards. Secondly, and most importantly, it means we can, yet again, wait with bated breath to see the best (and most conversation-starting) red-carpet beauty looks.

This year's nominees include Margot Robbie for Barbie, Emma Stone for Poor Things, Emily Blunt for Oppenheimer, and Ayo Edebiri for The Bear, among others. So, yeah, you can bet this year's SAG Awards will provide ample hair and makeup inspo. Ahead, check out the undeniable best looks from the night.

Margot Robbie, AKA Barbie, walked the red carpet with polished waves and petal-pink makeup.

We don't know what we love more, Emma Stone's inky eyeliner, satiny lipstick, or super-shiny hair. Can we say all three? As for the latter, celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak created a "fresh, youthful, and modern twist" to complement Stone's Louis Vuitton dress.

After a strange and tumultuous few years of COVID-era award ceremonies postponed, cancelled, or virtual red carpets, we're finally starting to see a shift toward normalcy in the world of entertainment. Amidst an award show and red carpet season that has largely been postponed, canceled, or virtual, we couldn't be more excited to get back into the *somewhat* traditional swing of things with this year's 2022 SAG Awards. And yes, just the sheer anticipation of the forthcoming (exceptionally drool-inducing) beauty and fashion moments have us chomping at the bit. 

Unlike most award shows, the SAG Awards doesn't have designated hosts (a tradition that will continue this year), but fear not, in addition to the glitz and glamour, there are definitely a few highlights and surprises in store. For instance, the show's opening will feature "Hamilton” stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Daveed Diggs, and Leslie Odom Jr. and five-time SAG Award winner Helen Mirren will be presented the SAG Life Achievement Award by Kate Winslet.

Personally, I'll be enjoying tonight's show by indulging in the most sodium-laced takeout I can find and a nice pour of wine whilst, of course, keeping track of every head-turning hair and makeup moment that occurs on the red carpet. We're currently drooling over Hayek's turquoise liner and peachy-pink lipstick.

Matte nude lips took over the red carpet at this year's SAG Awards, so we appreciate Kidman's classic red lip which really made her strawberry-blonde strands sing.

We can't take our eyes off of Washington's A+ smoky eye and vibrant, fuchsia-stained lip. 

From her lids to her lips, Hudson kept on-theme with light pink makeup accents. 

We expect a lot from Lady Gaga's red carpet appearances, and her ice-blonde waves and retro, white and black eye look more than exceeded our expectations.

The Squid Game star and model kept her SAG Awards look minimal, complete with glowing skin and a chic, back-grazing braid.

Cox nailed two of 2022's most notable beauty trends: a sky-high ponytail and bejeweled eyes.

BRB—we'll be trying Daddario's ode to Old Hollywood glamour (complete with glossy retro waves and a stained berry pout) ASAP.

Hudgens epitomizes sleekness—from her pin-straight center part and flat-ironed strands to her razor-perfect cat-eye. 

With her hair swept back in a baby pink headband, all eyes were on Mirren's rosy lip and cheeks.

We love Fanning's signature side-swept locks punctuated by rich black liner and a matte coral-nude lip.

The red carpet instantly sparkled the second Gomez arrived. The singer and actress kept her look natural with radiant, bronzed skin, a nude lip, and her hair perfectly slicked back into a pristine chignon.

It wouldn't be a red carpet without Cynthia Erivo. (Or one of her trademark, show-stopping manicures!)

Dawson's SAG Awards look is perfection—from her architectural updo to her fluttery lashes and smoldering shadow.

Chastain offset her mermaid-esque copper waves with a super-bold eye look and petal-pink pout. That shimmery lid!

The actress kept her aesthetic classic via a sunset-hued gaze, coral lips, and tons of voluminous curls.

With the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice, and Producers Guild award shows already behind us, I think it's safe to say that award season is officially in full swing. We've already seen a few buzz-worthy celebrity looks grace the red carpet in 2019, meaning that this year's red carpet trends are being set as we speak. Last night, the red carpet was rolled out again for the Screen Actors Guild Awards—commonly known as the SAG Awards.

Will & Grace star Megan Mullally hosted, and all the Hollywood A-listers descended on the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall to celebrate the best in film and television. With notable nominees like Lady Gaga, Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, and Amy Adams, and presenters like Laverne Cox and Constance Wu, there were plenty of major celebrity looks from the evening.
