I’ll admit, I'm a self-confessed magpie. Anyone who knows me will know that I’m rarely without pearl drop earrings—sometimes I even pop them on before my morning walk. They've become part of my uniform; a piece I feel incomplete without.

Yes, I am absolutely one of those fashion people who isn't finished getting ready until the jewellery is on and the perfume is spritzed. I've never been much of a jewellery person. I always prefer to stick to a small number of hardworking pieces that I can throw on with any outfit on any given day. Kate Middleton and Prince William had a busy day today, making me feel just a tad embarrassed about still being in pyjamas at 3 p.m. The duo visited the London Bridge JobCentre, Brick Lane Bakery, and the East London Mosque to meet with Brits and discuss the impacts of the pandemic on their lives. While I do love a drop earring and in my youth considered myself somewhat of a statement-necklace connoisseur, there's something inexplicably appealing about delicate jewellery that can be worn around the clock. From thin layered necklaces to dainty stud earrings, I'm finding myself gravitating more and more toward the tiny, intricate adornments that promote a quality-over-quantity kind of mindset

These days, when it comes to jewellery, it is much less about attention-grabbing and much more about finding the pieces that will stand the test of time. With this in mind, I set out to compile a list of the delicate jewellery pieces that deserve a spot on my wish list. Of course, with a query like this, it felt necessary to consult a panel of experts. (And by experts, I mean our editorial team here at Who What Wear UK.)

Given that she is actual royalty, we wouldn’t blame you for assuming that many of the items Meghan Markle wears would be completely unattainable for those of us who do not possess a noble title, particularly when it comes to jewellery.

In our experience, the same principle applies to our jewellery collections. While those spangled, statement pieces will always have a special place in our hearts, they're not necessarily what we want to be wearing when it comes to a lingering weekend brunch or a casual coffee with friends. There are a handful of brands that the Who What Wear team go to for our everyday jewellery needs, but at the top of the list is Missoma.
