The first thing I noted in regards to her outfit was her bag, which just so happened to be the Celine Medium Nino Bag (£2650) that I’ve had my eye on. Featuring the brand’s iconic Triomphe emblem to the front, the bag is instantly recognisable to those who follow fashion but is anything but ostentatious—to me, this is the mark of a perfect designer bag.

Once I was threw swooning over her arm candy, the rest of her outfit came into focus. Managing to look laidback but in an ultra-chic way, the actor swapped out pretty dresses in favour of comfortable leggings and a pair of New Balance 9060 trainers. We’ve seen lots of New Balance trainer styles dominate in popularity over the past few months, and it looks like the 9060 is set to be next in line. If you've been on social media this morning, you'll know that the 2024 Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood last night. All the A-listers were out in force and the red carpet looks were nothing short of sensational. From America Ferrera's pink Versace number to Zendaya's dazzling Giorgio Armani Privé gown, there were certainly lots of outfits to remember.

However, as a beauty editor, my eyes were on all of the red carpet hair and makeup looks, and they definitely didn't disappoint. I spotted lots of trends from bob hairstyles to "no makeup" makeup, but it was the nails that captured my attention the most. There were lots of chic, expensive-looking manicures to lust after, but my favourite was Margot Robbie's caramel polish. In fact, after admiring her creamy, light brown manicure, I have a feeling we could be seeing this colour everywhere this spring and summer.

The star took to the red carpet in a strapless Versace dress, paired with a statement silver and gold bracelet by Fred Leighton. She kept her hair and makeup simple for the occasion, letting her outfit do all the talking. However, it was her almost delectable manicure that stole the show for me.

This nail colour is the perfect balance between a nude and a brown shade, making it super wearable for spring and summer. The tone perfectly complemented Robbie's outfit and made her nails look so expensive. If you're wondering who was behind the chic caramel mani, it was Chanel nail artist Betina Goldstein. Luckily for us, Goldstein shared all of the manicure details on her Instagram account.

Goldstein opted for an almond nail shape and used Chanel's nail polish in the shade Légende. Heading out in L.A. this week, Margot Robbie elevated a casual outfit through the use of some clever styling tricks. It's really starting to feel like summer now, so I'm desperate to jump on the warm-weather trends I've been waiting to wear since last year. First on the list is the new-season shoe trend I've already spotted so many of my favourite celebrities in. Swapping out their go-to pointed-toe shoes, celebs have been gravitating towards peep-toes instead to put the finishing touches on their looks. The once-forgotten shoe style has been cropping up more and more in recent months as brands continue to experiment with the proportions of their clothes and accessories.

Pioneering the revival, Miu Miu's A/W '23 collection championed the classic peep-toe, and other designers and brands have since followed suit. Most significantly, Chloe's A/W '24 runway show in Paris was rife with the trending shoe. On the runway and in the front row, models and fashion people alike wore boho-inspired takes on the peep-toe shoe.

Beyond fashion week, this somewhat divisive shoe trend is a regular throughout awards season—Margot Robbie opted for a sleek black pair for a red carpet appearance ahead of last month's BAFTAs. For a brisk New York afternoon, Robbie wore several light layers that kept her outfit looking both fresh and cosy. Beginning with a white T-shirt, the actress layered over a white cotton button-down shirt, which she styled underneath a longline wool blazer. Whilst I always advocate buying the original in any design that you can afford, I do appreciate that your budget may not stretch to Bottega (mine certainly doesn't). Over the past few weeks we've noticed celebrities have been forgoing classic black, brown and beige accessories in favour of one of the most talked about colours for the AW23 season—bright red. To attend the Proenza Schouler SS24 New York Fashion Week runway show, Sofia Richie styled a strapless black and white dress with a no-fuss black clutch bag and minimal earrings. Livening up her style, Richie opted for a pointed toe slip-on ballet flat in a tomato red—perhaps the freshest way to wear the colour right now. 

This simple addition of the season's sharpest shade injected a playful element to Richie's look without compromising the elegant styling that she's become known for. 

Late last month, amid celebrations of the launch of Rhode's Strawberry Glaze Lip Treat, Hailey Bieber sported a range of thematic outfits that she accessorised with red bags and shoes. Styling up her little white dress, Bieber wore her red Manolo Blahnik mules, a red handbag and lick of red polish on her long nails. Like everyone else right now, I've been swept up in Barbie mania. I went to see the film last weekend (spoiler alert: it's great) and I've been captivated by the looks from the cast on the press tour. Take Margot Robbie and her team's replications of some of the major Barbie doll looks—absolutely iconic.

And the details haven't been missed on the hair, makeup and nails, either. Take Robbie's Totally Hair Barbie look.
