I’ve been in the industry long enough to develop a handful of hard-and-fast personal style rules. Every now and then, though, I’m pleasantly surprised when one of those self-imposed limitations is challenged. This morning, that’s exactly what happened.

Stepping out for a walk through Notting Hill, Margot Robbie resurrected a trainer trend I was convinced we’d seen the last of. Better still, she paired it with the one denim silhouette I’ve always found trickiest to style—creating, in one fell swoop, a look that felt modern and persuasive enough to make me rethink my own approach to denim.

Even if you just follow fashion casually, you've probably heard the recent chatter that skinny pants and jeans are making a comeback in 2025. When I think about trainers, my mind immediately drifts to the classic styles that I fell in love with first—the pairs that defined my teenage years.

White plimsolls, Vans and Converse were my go-tos—the ones that saw me through every moment that mattered. Kaia Gerber has been on our radar quite a lot lately, (and no, it’s not because she has been appearing on the runway in stunning bespoke looks at Haute Couture Fashion Week). In fact, it is the model’s off-duty wardrobe that has really captured our attention.
