This year, I predict that style will be nothing new, but rather a handbag that has been stealthily rising through the ranks. I've clocked it taking over the runways and swinging on the arms of some of our favourite influencers. Yes, it's the camera bag, and I know it will take the handbag crown this spring.

Equal parts practical, chic and sturdy, the camera bag is structured to house, yes, you guessed it, cameras. Camera bags have been around since the cameras themselves became handheld, mobile and transportable, needing protection from the elements and general wear and tear, as well as space for lenses, flash and batteries. These days, fashion people are using this geek-chic style to contain their daily essentials, with the multiple outside pockets adding to its utilitarian appeal, and the versatile strap allowing for shoulder or crossbody wear.

Acne Studios debuted its take on the camera bag during its spring/summer 2025 show, naming it the Camero. It taps into the brand's off-kilter, slightly grungy but wholly Scandi brand identity beautifully, and the fashion set are adopting it now, ahead of it hitting mainstream this year. Miu Miu, Gucci and Chloé have also been championing this bag style, adding their house codes and characteristics to this boxy handbag shape to bring it thoroughly up to date. Style Notes: I'm not shy about my love for a chic long, wool coat. This kind of coat is simply a no-brainer during a cold winter—it boasts practicality by guaranteeing warmth, yet is so effortlessly stylish and easy to wear. Although some can come with a bold price tag, I still strongly believe that it's best to have one in your wardrobe for this time of year. After all, something this classic will last you for years and years. On those wintery nights out, pair with a sleek ribbed dress and boots, then dress down with a pair of straight-leg jeans and a fine merino knit.

Style Notes: The iconic leather jacket is an item that can carry you through all seasons. Easy to layer, this classic piece adds an element of cool to any winter outfit. It's a classic for a reason, and in my opinion, is superior to every other jacket trend. I love Anouk Yve's bomber style (pictured above), which is effortlessly balanced with slim-fit jeans and loafers. There are countless ways to incorporate a leather jacket, whether that be a biker, blazer or trench. Style with statement accessories like a bright beanie or beret.

3. Sleek, Chunky Scarf

Style Notes: Winter accessories are hands down my favourite part of chilly-season fashion. You're given the chance to add a whole new dimension to outfits that you've had on rotation for a good few days or weeks, not to mention the extra layers of warmth that a scarf, hat and gloves bring. In particular, the statement chunky scarf knows exactly how to put in the work for your wintery outfit. Whether it's a pop of colour, a contrast in texture or just a switch up in silhouette, a good scarf can do it all.

4. Knee-High Boots

Style Notes: When the cold creeps in, classic knee-high boots make their way to the front of the shoe rack. They mean business and are an easy way to elevate your winter ensembles. With so many variations to choose from and so much styling potential, there's truly a boot for everyone. This is an investment buy you won't regret.

Style Notes: A statement knit is that one item you look forward to styling every winter. It's your favourite of the bunch—the one that washes well, maintains its vibrancy and above all, keeps you cosy. You needn't worry about what the rest of your outfit is doing when you have this to bring it all together. A stellar knit should be versatile enough to wear throughout party season as well as on errand-running days, and I love Laura Klein's vibrant argyle jumper (pictured above) for this reason. Paired with straight-leg jeans, it's a look to rotate all winter long.

Is it too early to be thinking about spring? Not if I have anything to do with it. It's true that the worst of winter has yet to rear its head (blizzards and parties included), but the thought of vivid, saturated colours and breezy fabrics is all that's occupying my mind right now.

Much of that has to do with the brilliant looks showcased during the S/S 22 shows. From Miu Miu's "early aughts meets prep school" collection to Jil Sander's minimalist show, there were several standout moments that have lived in my head rent-free since their debuts in October. They've also inspired a shopping list of items to buy to re-create these outfits immediately. Miu Miu, Look 4

As it was arguably the show of the season, all eyes were on Miu Miu's interpretation of the prep-school aesthetic. While the extreme minis and tiny tube tops were too exposing for my everyday look, I was instantly drawn to this more modest take in look four of the collection. Immediately, my eyes honed in on the pleated skirt's raw hem and low-rise waistline (also a tad controversial), two minor details that make this look feel really fresh. To create a similar effect, I'd cut the hem of a regular pleated skirt and size up for the skirt to sit low at the waist.

Jil Sander, Look 6

No one masters low-key elegance quite like Jil Sander. The brand has a way of creating relatively simple looks that, although understated, still pack a punch. Case in point: this daffodil-yellow monochromatic dream. Tonal dressing isn't anything new, but what sets this apart is the matching accessories and opposing textures. I'm trying this with similar leather pants and a bright coat.

Y/Project, Look 2

When I'm in the mood for creative drama, Y/Project always fits the bill. Usually, the brand's outfits are so specific it's a bit hard to re-create them without buying the actual thing, but this look includes a head-to-toe denim ensemble that's easier to interpret. With denim skirts on the rise, it's cool to put the trend in action with a maxi skirt and jacket.

Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Look 40

Nineties minimalism reached a fever pitch with Maryam Nassir Zadeh's streamlined S/S 22 show. The clothes reflected Zadeh's pared-down approach with clean tailored pieces in subdued prints and muted colors. I loved this outfit featuring a simple racerback tank and trousers, both in a slate gray that feels very commanding. The entire look feels reminiscent of classic Helmut Lang, and I'm loving every bit of it.

Marques'Almeida, Look 1

This look from British label Marques'Almeida reimagines formal black-tie attire. You can always expect the unexpected when it comes to the label, and this look is a quintessential example. Shield sunglasses add a sporty twist to this beautiful strapless gown while dialing up the impact. Excuse me—I'll just be wearing sporty sunnies with my dresses from now on.

ACNE Studios, Look 10

Nothing thrills me like a corset moment, and this season's best one comes courtesy of one of my favorite brands, ACNE Studios. The outfit itself isn't complicated, but I love how it's an entirely different way of styling a corset that we haven't seen a lot of yet. I can see myself wearing this to a fashion party or to a friendly soirée when serving up a lewk is the objective.

Searching for the perfect pair of boots is long, arduous work. There are heel heights to consider and toe shapes, how far they climb up the leg, and then, of course, there are countless colours to choose from. But let's simplify things for a second. It's widely agreed that black boots make for the most versatile, so let's focus on that. Then, the heel—it's nice to have a little bit of height, but as much as we'd like it to be otherwise, we certainly don't have any real need for a heel over the size of two inches right now. Ankle-grazing boots work well on everyone, so let's filter that in. And as for toe shape? Well, nothing looks quite so sharp as a pointed one. Put all of these factors together, and what do you get? The closest thing to the perfect pair of boots we can imagine, which, as it turns out, bears a striking resemblance to ACNE's Jensen boots.

No, you are not just imagining it, there is an abnormally higher amount of dashing gentlemen queuing for the tube this morning. If there's one prominent female figure in the fashion retail world right now who does menswear-inspired dressing better than anyone, it's Banana Republic's Marissa Webb. 

Our resident stylist does borrowed-from-the-boys dressing so well—and you, dear reader, took notice. We've received a ton of questions centered around how to replicate Webb's signature style, so we decided to pick her brain on the matter. As it turns out, it's not as simple as tossing on a boyfriend blazer and going out the door.

"Borrowing from the boys doesn’t always mean literally wearing men's clothing," Webb says. "It's about contrast and proportions. However, I personally do not hesitate to shop in the boys’ section and borrow from my fiancé’s closet. Think of it as your options being doubled!"

The boyfriend shirt is an easy item to mix into your wardrobe, because the fit is a bit looser and easy. To pull it together, pair it with a skinny skirt or bottom for the juxtaposition of proportion. Then toss on a great pair of heels for that interesting contrast.

When styling the boyfriend blazer, it's not always about it just being oversize. It's also about the tailoring and the details. I often pair my “borrowed from the boys” blazer with feminine accessories, like heels or a scoop-neck T-shirt. Or I’ll add a belt to the natural waist to give it more shape.

Men's accessories are there for you to explore! I usually use them as an accent with more-feminine items from my closet. Ties and bow ties I’ll mix with a slim button-down or shift dress. Men's watches get mixed in with my other bracelets, and I actually prefer men's perfumes because they’re usually not as powdery and sweet.

Sometimes you just want that oversize cosy sweater. I wear mine all year round with skinny jeans, over a silk cami dress, or with shorts on a breezy beach. For me, in order not to look sloppy or like a big sack, it’s the play on contrast and shape that’s important. Mix in your feminine pieces, even if it’s just a bold lip for balance and to separate you from the boys.

Figuring out how to wear denim in the hot summer months is often a trickier task than it appears on the surface. Denim shorts are pretty much a "duh" moment, but what about the heavier pieces you relied on during spring?

I always have white denim for summer, but I do like to incorporate other coloured denim as well.

The perfect denim jacket is timeless for me, and it carries me throughout all the different seasons. There are so many ways to layer and style them.

The lightweight denim shirt (often borrowed from my fiancé's closet!) takes me from the office to the beach, and it travels everywhere with me during summer.

I love a denim dress in all different shapes, but currently I’m coveting them with midlength skirts.

I personally would invest in a great handbag. It’s something that you use every day and, in a neutral colour, will last you for many years.

I also like to make sure I have a great pair of flats that I can wear on the days I know I’ll be on my feet all day, but still need to look dressed.

Another investment piece is a great-fitting blazer that easily takes you from day to night. There are just so many ways to wear it—I personally love it to dress up a pair of jeans.
