Much like with handbags, identifying It shoes is something I take very seriously. Unlike with handbags, however, today's findings required no actual finding at all. No, seriously. Before deciding to write this story, I had this short list of shoes in my mind for weeks, both because I was in the market for a new pair of fun heels for myself and because I couldn't help but see them literally everywhere I turned.

From Instagram to celebrity snaps to all my favorite shopping sites—until, of course, they repeatedly sell out—this season’s standout shoes are not only popular but also omnipresent. Even more notably, however, they’re refreshingly fancy. As you’ll soon see below, when it comes to casual, these designers don’t know her, and I have to say I’m into it. After years of favoring the chill-girl aesthetic, I’m more than ready to bring party dressing back, even if there’s no real party involved. If this sounds like your thing or you’re simply curious to see what I’ve been blabbing on about, just keep scrolling to see the It shoes of the moment for yourself, and of course, shop them and others like them below.

These satin platform pumps are so iconic most of the posts I saw simply highlighted the shoes without the need to even show a whole outfit.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2020, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch 90 Day Fiancé.
