Prints & Patterns Under $200

There was a glorious cacophony of prints and patterns on the spring runways, but few collections achieved such sweet harmony as the looks shown at Dries Van Noten. We felt daring and adventurous just looking at the crazy mash up of painterly florals and India-inspired patterns. It takes a certain eye to mix patterns with the finesse seen on the Van Noten runway, but don't let that stop you from experimenting with this trend.

You always have the option to invest in this look (certainly the Runway Silk Pumps are lovely, as is the Floral Top) but it's certainly not necessary. After much searching, we found nine excellent pieces with the Van Noten look-all available for a song.

1. Sam Edelman Faith Wedge ($110.95)
These casual print wedges would look so cute peeping out from under a pair of wide leg pants or with a flirty little skirt. They're a moderate height (under two inches) so they're a savvy choice for work or the weekend.

2. Lucky Jeans Silk Sundial Batik Scarf ($48)
Can you ever have too many lightweight scarves? If they look like this green silk print scarf from Lucky Jeans, we think the answer is no. The batik scarf is generously sized, allowing you to wear it multiple ways.

3. Intuition Printed Silk Tank ($95)
The watercolor-like print on this silk charmeuse tank is so nicely done. We also enjoy the top's racer back cut-it's the epitome of summer chic.

4. Lee Angel Wide Jewel Marbleized Bangle ($145)
We like the mix of purple marbleized resin with faux jade stones and blue crystals. Dainty wrists take note: the bangle is two and a half inches wide, so it's a bit of a statement piece.

5. Topshop Paintbrush A-Line Skirt ($100)
The skirt's full silhouette acts as the perfect canvas for showing off a very Van Notenesque paintbrush print. Another plus: the silk fabric will feel breezy and cool when the weather warms up.

6. Kairi Tie Dye Pump ($70)
One glance at these adorable leather flats and we were in love. The pink-and-purple tie dye print excites us just as much as the easy-on-the-wallet price.

7. Express Silk Clutches ($49.50 each)
We found many fantastic florals while researching this story, but these silk clutches from Express were a surprise hit. At less than $50 bucks a pop per purse, we might have to get all three.

8. Coldwater Creek Mosaic Shell Earrings ($25.50)
These mosaic earrings are an unexpected interpretation of the patterns and prints trend. The wee glass and resin beads add an earthy touch to the sophisticated champagne shell frame.

9. Eugenia Kim Tie Dye Print Isabella Headband ($108)
Kim is known for her fashionable hats, but right now we're loving her other headwear, like this navy and white silk headband.
