In June, Fashionista rounded up the top three fashion schools in the United States, and now Business of Fashion has followed in their footsteps on an international scale. As part of their new education initiative, BoF unveiled their first Global Fashion School Ranking which is “based on rigorous … analysis of 60 data points collected directly from 24 participating fashion schools in 11 countries, a survey of more than 4,000 fashion students and alumni, as well as a reputational survey of 88 HR professionals and fashion influencers.” Put simply? They really did their research. With a focus on the schools’ global influence, the students’ learning experience, and the long-term value of the education, they found the following schools to be the top 5 in the world:
1. Central Saint Martins (London)
2. Bunka Fashion College (Tokyo)
3. Kingston University (London)
4. Parsons: The New School of Fashion (New York)
5. Fashion Institute of Technology (New York)
