Time just released its annual list of the 100 most influential people, which features a few fashion industry players this year. While Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci and Chinese designer Guo Pei made the cut, only one model appeared on the list: Karlie Kloss.
Diane von Furstenberg penned Kloss’s profile for the list, calling her “the epitome of the ideal American millennial woman.” The designer cited how Kloss not only dominates runways and ad campaigns but also supports charities like Feed and Edible Schoolyard NYC. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s an entrepreneur who helps girls learn to code through her Kode With Karlie program.
“As a model, a businesswoman, a young philanthropist and a force on social media, [Karlie Kloss] doesn’t just connect with her generation—she leads it,” von Furstenberg wrote, “inspiring young women around the world to become the women they want to be, just as she has done so beautifully.”
