Vogue just revealed the cover girl for its May issue, and it's a crowd-pleaser. Taylor Swift was chosen to front the American edition of the glossy for the third time, the last being with her BFF Karlie Kloss in March 2015. Speaking of Kloss, her resemblance to the supermodel is undeniable, with her cool short bob and sweet yet sultry Kloss-esque posing. We could see either of them on this cover, a compliment to both ladies.
In perhaps her most high-fashion, grown-up turn yet, Swift posed for the cover wearing Saint Laurent, likely in tribute to former creative director Hedi Slimane. (Fittingly, Vogue Paris's May issue also features a Saint Laurent–clad Lottie Moss and Lucky Blue Smith.) Looking ever the sleek Hedi Slimane Saint Laurent girl, Swift's bleached blonde locks and tall ankle boots completed the look.
Proving how much her style has evolved recently, Swift donned metallic looks from cool girl–favorite designers Vetements and Proenza Schouler for the sleek editorial, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. In the interview, the star touches on how her style has matured as of late.
“Going through different phases is one of my favorite things about fashion,” Swift says. “I love how it can mark the passage of time. It’s similar to my songs in that way—it all helps identify where I was at in different points of my life.”
