Who What Wear is turning 10 this year! To celebrate our #WWW10 milestone, we’re bringing back WWW TV, with new style videos just for you.
It’s no secret that the key to a perfect look is perfect tailoring. Seriously—think about how much sleeker you look and feel if your favorite suit or dress fits you just right. But we get it: Sometimes you just don’t have the time or the money to run off to the tailor every single time you purchase something new. In case you’re short on either, we rounded up three easy ways to tailor your clothes right at home.
Keep scrolling to watch our video tutorial to learn more. Plus, go a bit further to shop stylish pieces that won’t need a ton of alterations.
Grab an elastic hair tie and place it on your forearm over your sleeve. Push up the sleeve and let it fall naturally over the tie.
Find a pretty ribbon (a scarf can work, too), and tie the back of your dress together to tighten the straps.
Place a piece of tape on the underside of your hem. Fold the hem under, and press firmly.
This is the perfect throw-on-and-go dress—simply add heels and you’re set for work.
The cold-shoulder look feels very right now.
If there’s one jacket silhouette to invest in this season, it’s the bomber style.
We would pair this long-sleeve tee with wide-leg jeans and sneakers for the weekend.
The cropped hem means you won’t need to shorten these jeans at all. They’re already tailored!
We love the layered look here—perfect as you start thinking about fall.
Embrace the sporty trend with this sweet racing-stripe blouse.
