We'll be the first to admit that it can be a little painful spending good money on a swimsuit that you probably won't get the chance to wear as much as other pieces in your wardrobe, but they're an essential purchase nonetheless. Given the abundance of one-piece swimwear options that resemble bodysuits these days (courtesy of the current swimwear trend), it got us thinking that it would be a waste to not get a little more wear out of them.
We came across many stellar suits that would look just as cute with a pair of denim shorts and a bomber jacket, for example, as they do on the beach. A couple things to look for: They should veer on the side of tasteful (avoid major plunging necklines and styles with sultry cutouts), and they shouldn't be overly shiny, since most tops and bodysuits don't use shimmery material.
