Fashion designer Stella McCartney has launched two new lingerie initiatives in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month for October. As modelled by Cara Delevingne, Luxury Daily reports a percentage of proceeds from the special Alina Playing bra will go to the National Brest Cancer Foundation.
Along with the Alina Playing bra, McCartney has gone one step further and also designed a mastectomy bra for breast cancer survivors. The Louise Listening bra (named after her late mother, breast cancer sufferer, Linda McCartney’s middle name) includes a front zip closure for comfort.
In a statement, McCartney said: “We wanted women to know that you can still be feminine, have your sensuality, have all of the things that are attached to being a woman and that part of your body can still feel beautiful on the outside, as well as the inside.’’
And we couldn’t agree more.
