There's clearly been a decline in skinny-jeans popularity over the last few months. And as Elle pointed out from U.S. News & World Report, there's an actual medical reason for it. According to the site, a woman recently went to the hospital after wearing her skinnies while helping a relative move. After cutting the jeans off, the doctors found that the denim had caused severe muscle and nerve damage! So scary.
While skinny jeans will continue to hold reign in closets (it's okay—this editor still wears them), the style may not be best if you're doing a ton of physical activity.
