Mix L.A. and Paris Vibes, and You Get This New Collection

French-girl favorite fashion brand, Sézane, has officially landed in Los Angeles for its first-ever West Coast retail experience, opening today. From now until the first week of April, you can shop the Sézane pop-up (located in The Grove) featuring a collection of pieces that have been curated by the brand's founder, Morgane Sezalory, specifically with the West Coast girl in mind.

We were able to chat with Sezalory about this new, exciting L.A. experience, asking her about everything from the difference between French and L.A. girl style to how she went about hand-selecting the perfect Paris-meets-California staples for the pop-up.

Some say West Coast style is very different from the classic, timeless Parisian uniform, so we went straight to the source—Sezalory, that is—to get her opinion on the matter. She noted "attitude" as the biggest difference between the French and L.A. girl fashion approach.

"L.A. girls are more daring! More colorful outfit choices, new silhouettes all the time. I believe they have a better sense of high-low dressing and are better at mixing and matching pieces too," she shared with Who What Wear. French girls, on the other hand, usually stick to their tried-and-true outfit formula, which Sezalory notes as "a crisp white shirt, [the] perfect pair of jeans, [a] must-have classic beige trench, nice leather booties or nice flat shoes by day and heels by night."

When it came to picking pieces for the pop-up shop, Sezalory explained she kept L.A. in mind while still maintaining that classic (and widely beloved) French-girl aesthetic. "Our spring collection was inspired a lot by the sun, flowers, brightness, and color. You will find a lot of colorful dresses with the perfect cut, beautiful prints, the perfect denim—the indispensable pieces for an L.A. girl's wardrobe," she said. Sounds pretty dreamy, no?

The L.A. pop-up will be open for one month, seven days a week, and will be a complete Parisian experience. Think lighting fixtures from France, handmade flower murals, and handcrafted millwork that will transport you to the magical gardens of Paris. How can one resist that? Read on to see and shop some of the pieces that will be available for purchase at the newly opened Sézane pop-up.

Just make sure to plan your trip to the pop-up ASAP, because we have a feeling the pieces will sell out lightning fast.
