Serena Williams has not been shy about sharing the details of her pregnancy since she announced the news back in April. Months after the tennis star—or, more fittingly, one of the greatest athletes of our time—used social media to tell her fans that she and her fiancé, Alexis Ohanian, were expecting, she attended the Met Gala in a Versace design that accented her shape, and now she's landed the cover of Vanity Fair with an epic photo shoot, au naturel.
Shot by the legendary Annie Leibovitz, Williams posed nude for the cover, save for a bit of body jewelry. The image instantly reminded us of the 1991 cover starring a then-pregnant Demi Moore, also photographed by Leibovitz, but Williams makes this one her own as she stares off in the distance, with long, flowing locks flying behind her and seriously toned arms on display. The daring photo, as well as its accompanying shoot inside the issue, are truly striking, as is her love story, which is told within the pages.
