It sounds like the ultimate dream job: traveling everywhere from Australia to India with Kate Middleton and her family to capture their most memorable moments on camera. Well, there's one person who gets to list exactly that as his job description: Getty Images' official royal photographer, Chris Jackson. The lensman chatted with Town & Country about his favorite images of the royal family, and we loved his story behind one striking image in particular: the Duchess of Cambridge at the Kranji War Cemetery in Singapore back in 2012.
"This is one of my favorite photos because it's quite a poignant image of the Duchess having walked through the graves, and she's just sort of glancing over her shoulder," Jackson told Town & Country. "What you see when you're photographing the royal family every day is you can fit the images into different categories: There can be quite funny images, there can be very formal images, there can be historic images, but the poignant images are much rarer and more difficult to capture." We happen to agree that Jackson captured an especially moving photo that day, and of course, Middleton looks as beautiful as ever.
