>As fashion editors, it’s our job to dissect and report on what’s happening on the red carpet. But we’ll let you in on a little secret: There’s only one New York designer we think of when it comes to dressing for such a momentous event, and it’s Rosie Assoulin.
>Since the label’s become an industry favorite over the last several years, it’s no surprise there was an exciting buzz all around yesterday’s presentation. The F/W 17 collection debuted among a set of antique sofas covered in plastic, colorful rugs, and tea sets galore, bringing with it unique interpretations of formal wear. Some of the standout pieces included coordinating gowns and puffer coats, elegant two-piece sets, a dress-tuxedo hybrid, and a bold wallpaper-esque print.
>In short, the pieces were just the kind of quirky, daring, and unconventional takes on red carpet dressing a fashion girl can’t resist.
