British-born, Australian-based fashion designer Richard Nicoll passed away today at age 39 from a suspected heart attack. Nicoll spent the past year living in Sydney, and as 10 Magazine reports, was due to fly to Germany in January 2017 to commence a new role overseeing creative direction at Adidas. The designer closed his eponymous label in 2015, and spent the past year focusing on individual projects.
Nicoll was always one of the highlights at London Fashion Week, and will be remembered for his impact on the fashion industry. His designs had an affinity for strong, sharp tailoring, and bright, candy-coloured hues (we'll never forget Keira Knightly in this dress from Resort 13).
