Pre-fall, otherwise known as the in-between collection when you can’t look at another pair of jorts but F/W pieces haven’t hit stores and won’t be for another couple of months. Often overlooked by consumers, pre-fall collections (and their warm-weather counterparts, resort) are actually treasure chests of under-the-radar finds that will only be available for a limited time—a collection industry insiders look forward to shopping. These mini seasons set the stage for the trends that are going to blow up in the coming months while also offering shoppers the instant gratification of buying now. Take Stella McCartney’s ski sweaters or Chloé’s track pants as examples. Everyone is expecting them for fall, but the savviest of shoppers will snatch them up during pre-fall before they’re sold out and so mainstream.
So, what else are we projecting will be huge? Scroll through to see and shop, and remember these when the next fashion week begins—you’ll be seeing a lot of them on the streets.
