Designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi were true to the Preen brand for F/W 16, but this ready-to-wear collection had a little twist. Conveying a rock-star vibe, models strutted in dark florals, ’90s grunge, crushed velvet, and, yes, even sequins. With a romantic mood and some sensual edge, the new collection incorporated a rich mix of fabrics with powerful texture combinations. From plaid trench coats, sheer lace slips, and pleated leather dresses to blush-colored sequined maxis styled under pink faux fur, the designers painted a portrait of the bold modern woman. Excuse us while we toughen up our wardrobes accordingly.
