The Best Bridal Brands That Carry All the Sizes

Despite regular improvements and greater inclusivity in the fashion industry right now, there is still an undeniable dearth of options for of-the-moment clothing for women who wear a size 14 or above—at least compared to those for women who wear smaller sizes. Bridal, however, is a whole other challenge.

About a month ago, The New York Times reported on major nationwide boutiques expanding options for brides-to-be who don't deserve to struggle slipping into size 6 samples. But that's really the beginning of how far the industry has left to go. Thankfully, the seven brands ahead are helping lead the change.

Not only do the designers below feel current and offer tons of style options, but they all come available in a generous range of sizes (many starting at 0 and going up to 22/24) and are accessible no matter where you live. "Inclusivity is the future, and the brands that are hanging on to outdated concepts of who their 'ideal' woman is will be left behind," says Denise Jin, founder of try-on-at-home bridal brand Floravere. As the leader of one of the best examples of size-inclusive wedding wear, she says this approach is so fundamental to her business. "Since the day we launched, we started hearing stories and feedback from plus-size brides about the challenges that can make the traditional boutique experience especially frustrating and out of touch."

We outlined this below, as well as six more must-know brands that set a positive example of what saying yes to the dress really means when everyone has the option to do so.

ASOS

We'll begin with a familiar name. ASOS has not only lead the charge with on-trend styles for a range of budgets, but the UK label's Curve collection has always set the tone that every woman deserves to try them out. The bridal selections have a similar message, offering modern silhouettes at affordable prices.

Floravere

The real game changer for Floravere is the ability to try on wedding dresses in the comfort of your own home—totally shaking up the bridal salon experience as we know it. "We've spent the past year thoughtfully developing a collection of inclusive-sized gowns—all of which are available to try on in extended size samples so our brides don't have to 'envision' how a sample might fit closer to their sizes," says Jin.

Christian Siriano

Siriano's brand has become synonymous with inclusivity—have you seen his latest runway show? The same approach extends to bridal as well, with dreamy, fairytale (whatever your definition is) ensembles made to order for every customer. And because of that customization, a size limit does not exist.

Fame and Partners

Australian line Fame and Partners began with a unique approach to its main line, allowing shoppers to customize the styles on its site. The same goes for its cool, nontraditional bridal line that launched last year in sizes up to 22.

Stone Fox Bride

Every New Yorker who hates the idea of a cookie-cutter wedding knows and loves Stone Fox Bride. And along with an irreverent approach to weddings, it also offers a beautiful (but far from princess-y) dress selection for a broad range of sizes too.

Watters

While Watters's designs can be found at tons of retailers in the U.S., the site is especially fun to browse with incredibly pretty designs for the maximalist (think lace, tulle, and crystals galore) and minimalist (sleek satin gowns with thoughtful details and impeccable fit).

David's Bridal

While it may take some digging to scour through David's Bridal's massive selection of dresses, it's well worth the work since the mega brand's size offerings are wonderful and the pricing is perfect for any bride who doesn't plan on spending more than triple digits.

Are you willing to face the wedding sample sale crowd? We have tips for that too.
