Slowly but surely, I’m becoming a regular visitor to experience spring in Paris—and I’m definitely not mad about it. What I love about this season in Paris is that it’s just before the hot and busy summer season meaning you get a peak at all the good things with *slightly* shorter lines. You also get better weather and I like to make sure I book a trip early in the year in case things get too busy later.

This recent trip was one of my most luxurious stays that I’ve had in Paris in a long time. I spent a week with SO/ Paris and this is the hotel you need to see if you’re a lover of fashion and art. Every detail on the design was marvelous and I’ve already told many of my friends to book it for their next trip. Staying at such a luxe location inspired me to explore Paris with an even more elevated sense of style than usual. Below, discover the outfits that made my Paris trip the most memorable one yet.

If you’re like me, you’re still not over the “rosette” trend that was everywhere last year. I’m still looking for ways to subtly include a 3D flower or two into my outfits. This top I found at Aritzia was the perfect blouse to wear on a sunny day in Paris, although it also happened to be the day that I got caught in a torrential downpour. White trousers are at the top of every fashion person’s list for this season so it was the perfect styling piece to go along with it. It sold out fast but I found a great alt below.

An occasion dress that truly has my attention now is this mini from Acler. I’m a sucker for a warm color palette and anything that comes in a floral print so my jaw dropped when I first discovered this dress. I loved styling it down with a trench coat and boots but would love to wear it again to a wedding with heels and statement jewelry.

Since French people have an affinity towards lingerie, I knew this bodysuit had to make its way out of my drawers and into the wild. The unique pearl details on the cardigan I chose made it feel dressed up in all the right ways. I also love low-rise jeans too much to style it with anything else.

This might just be the most flattering dress I’ve worn, well, ever. It hugged every curve of my body in the right way with strategically placed seams that gave me an hourglass figure. For a formal occasion in Paris or at home, it will always be on my list of options.

There are two types of French girls, the ones who lean towards basics and the ones who like to truly make a fashion statement. I felt like the latter in this outfit because it pairs unexpected pieces together. White tights and a party dress styled with a tailored coat is definitely not something most would see coming but it all came together perfectly in this outfit.

The outfit that had people asking me “where did you get that from,” the most was this romper from Amanda Uprichard. In classic white with gold buttons, it’s giving “old money” in all the right ways. I’ll definitely will be wearing it again and again this summer.

People who know French style well won’t be surprised by this but the outfit that felt the most authentically Parisian to me was the one that I put together when I ran out of clothing to wear. Near the end of my trip, I threw together some basics that I’d packed and came up with the groundbreaking idea to style a white button-down with jeans. This look needed to be reported on because it’s the best outfit to wear if you want to fit in with the French.

Sierra Mayhew was always destined to work in fashion, but she didn't know it at first. Growing up with no choice but to wear a rotation of school uniforms and activewear, her love for fashion really blossomed when she moved away for college and was able to finally define her very own personal style. Shortly thereafter, she interned at Elle magazine and instantly knew that editorial was for her. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, she worked for ShopBazaar, contributing regularly to Bazaar.com, and finally made her way to Who What Wear, where she is an associate editor. When she’s not working, you can catch her always trying to catch a flight, rollerblading through New York City traffic, or exploring the latest luxury vintage boutique.
