Peter Copping's Oscar de la Renta fall fashion show just deepened the fashion world's love for leather and dark colors—as if it wasn't already deep enough. Iconic leather skirts and dresses were sprinkled throughout adding a hint of edginess in the midst of sophisticated and eye-catching designs. But leather isn't the only touch of edge in this collection.
Copping has reinvented and revived the already zealous devotion felt toward the little black dress. The show displayed at least 10 LBDs that are a must-have for every woman. The designs then seamlessly transitioned into floor-length gowns. Even the baby pink and baby blue dresses, although light in color, remain statement pieces among other black and burgundy gowns. The show varied in material, style, and content but still was a one-of-a-kind visual experience.
