When you think of modern fashion icons, Olivia Palermo is up there with the best of them. The New Yorker is known for her creative styling tricks and her ability to just as easily wear designer duds or something from Zara. Now, Palermo is opening up about her personal style and more for The Edit. “It’s about mixing and matching,” she notes. “My aunt has always said, ‘If it’s great, it’s great—and it doesn’t matter how much it costs.’ Fashion is for every woman. You can see if she’s into it: her eyes light up when she talks about it.”
While today, Palermo is known mostly for her inspiring sense of style and clout among her fashionable peers, Palermo also touches on her days starring on MTV’s The Hills. “It was an interesting time. There is always an agenda [on these shows] whether you are on board with it or not,” she says.
