The Lebanese designer did not fail to, yet again, leave us breathless. From his floor-sweeping gowns to his cocktail dresses, all intricately embroidered with sequins and beads, to the swags of fabric draped over the shoulder, Elie Saab unleashed an exotic feel in each piece. Adding a little twist to this S/S 16 couture collection, Saab surprised us with jumpsuits, silky pants, draped skirts, and coordinated chiffon sets, all combined with detailed lace and fringe embellishments. Of course, these dazzling looks came down a soil runway with an earthy backdrop, and all the young models wore flat explorer boots, summoning a mood of historic adventurers. Only the mind of Saab would create an exotic yet romantic-feeling collection.
