Olivia Palermo's skinny jeans devotion is a hard-wired fact. She wears them everywhere, dressed up and down. Sometimes they're distressed, sometimes not. Sometimes she wears them with heels, sometimes flats. You get the idea. OP loves her skinny jeans.
Accordingly, we weren't surprised to see Palermo wearing a pair last night in New York, but we couldn't help but notice the low rise of the fitted jeans, a look that you may remember wearing in the early 2000s. The low-rise skinny jeans trend gradually faded, making way for the high-rise styles of this decade, but lately we've been seeing the polarizing denim style creep back onto the scene yet again.
The key to wearing them was perfectly demonstrated by Palermo. She paired her faded, distressed jeans with a very-2016 off-the-shoulder top and skinny scarf, along with a belt and her signature smoking slipper-style flats. By combining the throwback trend with modern pieces and tucking her blouse in, Palermo created an outfit that's inarguably appropriate for this season. Palermo's Black Orchid pair (her go-to denim supplier) is now sold out, but keep scrolling to shop other low-rise skinny jeans (and see her look)!
We love the subtle distressing and frayed hems on this pair.
These streamlined skinnies are so classic.
In flattering black, these low-rise skinny jeans could be your new closet staple.
At only $30, it can't hurt to try the trend again.
