Net-a-Porter had a totally insane Thanksgiving week this year, with more sales than ever before: According to a release we received this morning, there was one order every 1.4 seconds, and sales were up a whopping 82% over the same week last year. The most surprising part, though, is which exact item was the top-selling one of the week.
While Net-a-Porter has established itself as the premier online spot to shop super-high-end luxury pieces, the site does carry more-affordable options—and that's exactly what people shopped during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday spree. The site's best-selling item was Sam Edelman's over-the-knee Elina boots, which are currently on sale for just $175. That's not to say customers didn't buy expensive items too: One shopper purchased a pair of jeweler Kimberly McDonald's earrings for $27,000.
