Blogging has become a more legitimate business than ever, with a select few racking up a slew of campaigns, endorsement deals, social media followers, and personal product lines. Fashionista just released its annual list of the most influential among them, based on the A-list bloggers’ social media followers, website traffic, brand extensions (i.e., launching their own lines and/or collaborations), Google News searches, and proven It factor. At the top of the fashion news site’s list for the second year in a row? The Blonde Salad founder Chiara Ferragni. (No surprise here!) Of its decision, Fashionista cites her massive social media following and highly successful shoe line, Chiara Ferragni Collection, which made $10 million last year and will soon open its own brick-and-mortar store in her hometown of Milan. Add to that the fact that Ferragni is the face of Amazon Fashion in Europe and even has a Vogue cover (Spain) under her belt, and it’s easy to see that she’s hard to beat.
