Step Inside the Wardrobe of Sydney Publicist Montarna Pitt

It's not everyday you get to rifle through someone else's wardrobe. Aside from being a kid and going through your mum's cupboard, or exchanging clothes with friends in your teen years, wardrobes are pretty private spaces. But step into another person's, and you immediately get a sense of who they are. Their personal style, of course, becomes immediately clear, but more than that, you get to see the pieces they live their lives in and study their most prized possessions.

That said, we couldn't think of a more exciting wardrobe to tour than that of Sydney publicist Montarna Pitt (née McDonald). The founder of media agency The Audience Agency is a local It girl, leading an extremely stylish life and sharing it online with her loyal Instagram following. We recently covered her hen's party outfits and amazing bridal gown, and judging by the response from you guys, we knew you would appreciate a closer inspection of Montarna's polished personal style.

With a calendar full of yacht parties, launch events and VIP dinners, it's no wonder Montarna's wardrobe is chock-full of high-end designer pieces. Among cult items like old Celine sandals and a Loewe bag are her staple items—like a Balenciaga blazer she thought about for a year before purchasing and the romantic Kenzo gown she's worn over and over again. Her wardrobe is truly a wonderland to behold, so keep scrolling to get a glimpse of it as Montarna gives us the rundown of her favourite pieces.

Balenciaga Checked Wool Mini Skirt ($1775)

I love the '60s colour pop for a winter weight skirt. This piece is so different. I wear it dressed down with an oversized t-shirt and sneakers, or amped up with a shirt and heels.

I wore these Calvin Klein shoes to our engagement party—my best friend and bridesmaid sent them express delivery overnight from NYC as I had a last-minute outfit change! I love them because they bring back amazing memories.

I’ve never seen anyone else wear the Wang heels and I love when I have accessories that are different. The red Celinés on the other hand seem to be a staple for many, but I totally understand why—they’re the perfect heel height and elevate any outfit.

I pair them all with everything from evening dresses to jeans or Prada nylon shorts.

I mulled over this blazer for more than a year and I’ve barely taken it off since. The hourglass silhouette is so different and flattering. I usually pair it with black leggings or jeans. This blazer looks good with skinny trousers or slip dresses, too.

Kenzo dress

It’s so different and one of the few black tie dresses I own that isn’t black. I’ve worn this over and over and I still love it as much as the first time I tried it on. I’ve worn this dress with an orange red lip and diamante earrings, and I’ve also added a brown nude lip paired with gold jewellery for a muted, '90s vibe.

I love this dress because it’s so unique—you can only really see the detail in real life! I haven’t worn it yet, but I’m planning to wear it to my father-in-law’s 70th birthday.

I bought this bag to wear at Fashion Week Australia last year and it’s the only everyday bag I own that isn’t black. I’ve used it to death and it still looks perfect. It’s such a classic tan and the Puzzle is a forever shape for Loewe.
